we had one of the terrible experience after we checked in had to wait long time before the front desk associate came to me for checking in. Then the room she gave was worst experience Air conditioner was not functioning have to struggle hard for change of rooms , average breakfast my kids were disappointed with food when there is no pancakes and waffels, i request you to remove the ' wonderful ' tag for this hotel from your recommendations, i felt that i have wasted my $179 orbucks on this booking

Location is great - close to I-5 and many restaurants. The hotel is clean, rooms are well maintained. The bathroom door was not closing fully unless you tug it hard. The check in experience was smooth and welcoming. The breakfast buffet staff however were rude as they were controlling the portions. Granted there were many guests that weekend with a swim meet but it felt like they did not like the hotel too full

Took Care of My Needs

The place was crawling with children and the pool was packed (and a lot smaller IRL). The welcome drink at the bar was nice. Stagf was friendly. However, I didn’t notice when I got in my room because I dropped my bags and left for the evening, but there were some things not cleaned/cleaned well. I'm picky about that and often find myself seeing if I can clean it with a cloth or toilet paper. It wasn't a deal breaker especially with the place being pretty full. Breakfast was not so great. It tasted cheap and processed. But hey, it was free. I'd stay again overall. I liked the sitting room area and decor of my room.

I was referred to this location by a local group and the shuttle was the perk that sealed the deal. By day two, the shuttle service was limited and there was anger from the staff. They told us that from now on there would only be two shuttles all day to our location and they did not match up with our schedules so we had to plan ahead other transportation. I'm not sure what the problem was as it was started clearly it was a service they offered! Our first room had food in the fridge, hair on the sheets and crumbs on the floor. They did move is to another room, and for that I'm thankful. Overall, I would say I'm not sure that I would stay here again because of the treatment by staffing.

Person at check in was very lack luster. Barely explained the hotel amenities or parking situation (which was horrible). Room floor was dirty, Bed was made sloppily, Bedding was extremely thin, Pillows were ridiculously large and stiff, Bathroom had mildew in the corners of the tile. Being over the pool and directly over the lobby the room was excessively noisy. At 315 AM a large group was checking out of the hotel and were excessively noisy, waking us up with their loud conversations and party like antics just outside and below our room while standing in the porte-cochère for at least 15 minutes. The hotel night staff did nothing to quiet these people. Breakfast was mediocre at best, at the kitchen staff were more pleasant than the front desk staff. We checked out at 815 AM after a horrible nights rest, and did not even receive a "thank you" from the person at the desk; "youre pre-checked out on line, you can just go, nothing to do here." We will NEVER stay at an Oxford Suites again.

The hotel itself is great the area around it has become increasingly sketchy. Super sad cause we love this hotel. And we seem to always be stuck by running children in their rooms with parents that dont seem to care about respecting others.

We planned a little trip to Redding. We did the Shasta caverns and visited Larsen volcanic park to do some hiking and paddle boarding.
