The room was fine but the area was sketchy. At night was very scary. Do not let them put you in building ad or C. The parking is small and you have to park away from the room. If you want more towels it can only be requested between 10am - 3pm when housekeeping is there. The door cards will demagnetize if they touch your cell phone or wallet so every night I had to go to the office to get my card working again.

Breakfast was Luke warm....don't like self serve with utensils handled by everyone, not sanitary. Parking was OK. No encounters with staff except front desk, very nice. Soap and shampoo bottles were empty. TV remote was sticky, not clean, and NO CLOSED CAPTIONS which I normally use. Website I used to reserve room said "heated pool and spa", but found the pool closed, so website was not updated. Serious problem is not having grab bars in the shower. Should be a stall shower, not a tub. Very difficult to step into the tup with nothing to hang on to.

Requested a room on the first floor since I was traveling across the country with my dog. No rooms were available and took a second floor room. Dog was not able to make it up the stairs so she slept in my car while I slept in the room. Parking was terrible and the room numbers are not visible from the parking lot. Also there’s a building A and building B and those were not clearly marked. It was confusing and irritating. Room was small but functional. Needed a running start to get into the bed. I like a higher bed but not one I need a step stool for. Breakfast was ok. Not a good selection but tasted good.

Eerie checkin area, cockroaches in my room, tons of barking dogs in and out of rooms, tweekers, homeless and what appeared drug sales. I left a multi phone charger in the room and noticed the next day. Called them and they said nothing was found. It was my first night on the road, it was NOT left elsewhere. Horrible location, with crime. Due to cockroaches there was no way I was doing the free breakfast. Was approached several times by people on the property. Do NOT stay at this place, the pictures are old and nowhere near recent.

I had booked an 4 night stay for my employee and upon arrival, the room was filthy. He was then moving to another room and while he was at work, the hotel had booked that same room to another individual. Once he came back to his room, all his clothes were gone! The staff claimed it was a "glitch" in their system but I know thats a lie. This establishment is shady and dirty. Hotels.com has tried to contact them but they are trying to sweep this under the rug!

Renovated motel - trying to clean up the area

So, we're from Seattle, and we stayed here for the Aftershock Festival in Discovery park, and I got a very certain impression of this place, and I don't know if this is the official story or not, but the definite impression I got was this: This used to be a dirty, run-down motel. Someone bought it, gave the place a very nice facelift, and is trying to run it as a nicer establishment, but some of the local/transient population is still trying to use it for less-than-honorable activities. The owners/staff are clearly trying to fight against this. We had no problems with our stay here. The staff was very attentive, and there was security on site keeping an eye on things. I am rooting for the new owners of this place/the staff 100%. They are clearly trying to run a clean business and help clean up this part of Sacramento a bit. Just keep an subtle eye on the other people staying here while you visit!

I stayed for two nights. On the second night, roaches were coming out of the bathroom. I was disgusted. The place is ok but I honestly think Motel 6 would've been better for the price. I told the women at the lobby. I don't think I would stay again. Also I traveled solo, and I'm a petite woman and I felt semi safe.
