You get what you pay for. This hotel is super cost-friendly, and the buildings reflect that. The room was clean, but you can’t clean nicked furniture and chipped wooden doors. I was staying in San Diego for 1 night and would barely be in the room so I chose this hotel for the great price. It was acceptable for 1 night, but next time I’ll prob pay 40-50 bucks more to stay at a nicer hotel on the same street.

Great location in the center of San Diego. Easy drive to everything. Staff is pleasant and when I had a small maintenance issue, the maintenance person arrived within minutes, even though it was in the evening time.. has a heated pool and Jacuzzi and they do not charge for parking! Many of the nearby hotels are now charge for parking so figure that into your rate if you’re shopping the area

Room had a smell when we walked in. The remote control to the tv was missing when we arrived, so we called the lobby to request a remote control and at the same time asked for extra pillows. The lobby said someone would come to bring the remote, but we would have to go to the lobby ourselves to get extra pillows. Also we would have appreciated a warmer blanket. Other than that the room was comfortable.

I like the outside but the air conditioners always seem to have issues. The last two times I was here or talked all night. The first time, we spent the first few hours waiting for maintenance to replace the entire Air conditioner. And there's no hot water. Calling it warm would be a stretch as well... It fluctuates between body temperature and cold which might be fine in the summer but this isn't the summer.

So if you arrive and they put you in the 400 bldg. ASK for another room in either bldg 100 or 200!! We ran the water for 15 minutes and it never got warm enough for a shower. They have an old system that cannot keep up. This is a joke and they never offered me any sort of compensation. I will never stay here again.

It was an easy stay. If you need accessible accommodations, I would try and call ahead. When I arrived there were only second floor rooms available and there are no elevators. Otherwise it was easy and calm. The 8 and 163 right next to the property, so you can hear light traffic in the background but nothing crazy. The property is well lit for the most part but there are some darker areas.
