Place feels and looks like a homeless shelter-or rehab . No services from staff, electrical problems in rooms, had to change rooms twice due to electrical problems. Staff is not even moved- they just there to take payments. You need a towel- you go look for it from front desk- they have a towel rack there. Terrible place

The hotel was nice, looks like a renovated apartment complex. Area looks a bit sketchy but overall felt safe. The parking was a bit odd as there were no windows facing the parking lot so you at times worrried about your car. There is a gate to get into the complex which made me wonder why a code was needed, possible randoms strolling through or maybe because the high school is directly behind it. For the price though it was a good value.

Stay clear don't stay here

Let's start out with the first day we get there the power gets tripped and we have no power in our room. Followed by no control to the ac unit. It's either hot or freezing. The second day the boxspring on the bed breaks. We address them and they don't want to anything but put blame on us damaging the room. The room was outdated and not recently renovated. So we had all old furniture. Beds pillows all crap. Would definitely not recommend this place stay clear away unless you want to blamed for there old out dated furniture breaking.

Property is a little hard to get into. Porte Cochere is small and not much room to park while checking in. Parking was tight. Coded gate is a plus to access rooms from parking. Seemed a relatively nice area of the city. Room was clean and generally in good repair. Might prefer a non-carpeted room. Staff very friendly. Not much food nearby. Only found one ice and vending machine near pool. Large property. Good for families. Pricing a plus compared to other places in the area. Middle of outer area of San Diego. Not near harbor or other city attractions. Roads can be confusing to get to SeaWorld, beaches, and USS Midway. Would probably stay there again if in San Diego.

Old and poorly maintained, cheap amenities.

Stayed for 5 nights in July 2025. The property is charming with lots of nooks, gardens, alcoves, pathways, fountain, etc...but it is OLD and maintenence is lacking. The room hasn't seen a refresh in 20 years. Everything used is cheap. From the AC unit to the frige, stove, fuxtures, table, chairs, pillows, sheets... all bare bones economy. Bed was so old it sagged like a horse saddle. Quite uncomfortable. Pillows were worse than the $5 walmart specials. Landscaping was in need of attention, path lights broken, etc. The only redeeming quality was the price. Less than $100 a night and free parking. Would not stay here again.
