The area around the hotel is more than a bit sketchy. There is a strip joint one block away and hookers roam the area. There are a ton of homeless people all over do drugs in the open. On top of that they clean the rooms with something that stinks all night. Don't come here if you have kids...Bad news!!!

Checked in and was helped by Ben (super friendly). Room was clean. Breakfast was good. In all everything was good except for a frantic knock on our door at 4 am. The knock was happening for 15 mins when we checked through the peeping whole it was a young female when I said “hello!? Can I help you?” She kept knocking. Then ran upstairs.

Room was nice and clean, however we opened the refrigerator and there was left over food in there that was not ours. Everything else was well stocked and cleaned. The bed had some sort of metal frame that went to the bottom we kept running into it and it made a loud noise. Also every move you made on bed made the metal frame vibrate with sound.

Property is clean and well kept. There is ample parking which was nice given it seemed to be quite busy. The immediate surrounding area is okay, but the location makes it easy to get to most places in San Diego. The room is fairly generic and is about what you’d expect.

Nice remodel, sketchy location

The room was nicely remodeled and clean; the staff was nice and competent. The breakfast was as you’d expect; edible but not great or healthy. The neighborhood is sketchy and there’s construction occurring right next door. Some of the guests were a little bit “people of Walmart-ish” and rudely loud outside early in the mornings. But the worst was the very loud sound outside at 4:30 AM each night. It sounded like someone in neutral reving their car up and down though I don’t think that is what it was. Weird and irritating.

Close to shopping and eateries. Right by the Nudie bar which is not disclosed also it is not in Hotel Circle. Water pressure for shower terrible, rusty nails for toilet paper holder the smell of deodorizer is excessive. Hallways needed mopping. Won't go back.

The hotel is very clean (rooms and faculty overall). Good continental breakfast and friendly staff. Cleanliness to us is very important and this place was great for that. The location is near a lot of shopping areas and an easy drive to main SD points. Immediate neighborhood is not the nicest but if you are driving that is not an issue
