It was a great location to sites and airport. The condition of the actual property wasn't the best. Plumbing issues, peeling paint, torn carpets, ac heat unit didn't work correctly, cracked bathroom sink and more.

There were transients and drug addicts on and around property where my room was. The door had to be jimmied to get in. The room smelled and the bathtub was disgusting. I felt unsafe and checked out after only being there a few hours.

The area its located at is excellent and convenient. But the hotel room will smack you with a stench when you first open the door and the furniture, fridge was not cleaned. And the room is dusty. Won’t recommend staying more than one night or the whole day. The dust will make you sick. Just like what it did to my 3 year old

Not a good stay

Bath tub was uneven like it had patch work, the whole room felt wet and humid. Only good thing was the bed. I walked around with slippers. I can hear every step from upstairs. The air conditioning unit was right under the curtains so I block most of the air. I won’t be staying there again.

It is a basic hotel. The room is dated and had broken fixtures and a strange odor. The breakfast was fine but went quickly. It was clean and looked appropriate for the price of a hotel in SD.

The location is closed to Sea World San Diego which was the primary reason we booked the hotel. The location is convenient surrounded by restaurant and different stores for shopping and eating. However, the hotel desperately needs some hardware upgrades. TV didn’t work initially and phone got routed to San Diego Airport for some reason. Room is dark even with all the lights turned on. We ran into some “junkies” on our way to our room and some friendly homes less people were also visiting the breakfast area before the staff ask them to leave. The great thing about the hotel are the friendly staff who were trying really hard making our stay felt welcome. And the waffle machine at the breakfast bar also won the hearts of the kids

Simple room

Good to stay for a simple no frills night. Older furniture. Bar soaps are some of the thinnest and cheapest out there. Walls are very very thin as you can hear everything in the other rooms on each side. Great parking. Breakfast is hit or miss. Hard boiled eggs where available on first two days only, they the stopped putting them out.

Bacon and switch or false advertising

Do not believe anything on this site about this hotel. Complete letdown and once again they do not have an actual breakfast. They have some bread, two types of cereal and juice.
Best part is the view. Just don’t look down because you’re on the side of a busy street.

Don’t stay there even if it’s your last resort

Terrible first of all, it took three times going to the front desk because our keys didn’t work then the door was hard to get in second the TV didn’t work or the cable the window screen was ripped. The AC didn’t work. The phone didn’t have any room service overall really terrible smelled really bad in there as well. Never stayed there again.
