Clean, nice rooms, bright, fun atmosphere. Pool. Close to tons of food, shopping, attractions like Old Town San Diego, parks running and hiking areas. Breakfast restaurant at the hotel, The Waffle Spot, and the food is great. Service, staff are excellent. Price reasonable. Will stay there every time I go to San Diego, from now on.

We have stayed here many times. We really enjoy the pool and personal is very nice. The only complaint I have which is why I didn’t give them a five is that the room floors were filthy we couldn’t walk barefoot we always had to have shoes on, especially before we went to bed. We had to clean our feet very well as to not dirty the linens. It seemed as though the floors were swept, but not mopped even the bathroom but overall we always enjoy a stay there.

It was really an enjoyable stay. An older motel that has been updated. They grill / waffle shop in the front was great. The service was excellent. I would gladly stay again.

The location worked out well for us given that it's centrally located for what we were there to do on our trip. The pool looked nice, but a bit noisy. The gym facility was not so great and when the water tank wasn't working, there was no place to fill our water bottles.

A group of us stayed at the Kings Inn for a wedding. The rooms were comfortable and always freshly cleaned each day. After each days' activities, it was nice to sit in the hot tub and soak and the pool is really clean. Very easy access both leaving and coming back on I-8 and from there to 5, 805, or 160. The Waffle House located on property is a good place for breakfast/lunch-the waffles were really good, great service.

Have stayed here several times before. Quiet and easy access to all freeways. Downers are no free breakfast and you have to pay for parking. But they tell you that ahead of time, so it's your decision to make.

Great place to stay but don’t like the fact that you have to lay $15/night to park unlike most hotels where parking is free. May stay somewhere else next trip in August as parking adds up over the course of a few days making the overall price to stay more expensive than others
