My time at the kings inn San Diego

The hotel was clean. If offered a laundry. The pool was fun. The waffle restaurant was good. The bathroom was a little small, but overall it was a excellent stay.

Easy freeway access was nice. The pool and Horton area was well maintained and clean. Our room ended up above the smoking area so we did feel like we were breathing smoke a good portion of the time we were in the room. The rooms were very clean except the floors. We felt like we were walking on sand. The staff were super nice and welcoming.

Although the hotel is old and the smell in the rooms is old as well. It was clean and cute. Unfortunately the walls are paper thin and we heard kids and parents screaming and yelling at each other both nights. The staff was friendly.

The front desk staff was unbelievably rude. Without a hello or a welcome, started stating things that were forbidden to do, as if you were checking into a detention center. We arrived at the hotel at 3:50 and were told the rooms weren’t ready. Horrible manors, rude and disrespectful. I reserved 4 rooms for work purposes and will NEVER return to this hotel again.

My only complaint is the rooms are small, have to pay extra for a microwave and the TVs are not equipped for your streaming services. Bring your Roku! The room was very clean, plenty of pillows, housekeeping stopped in every day. Overall for the price it was good. Ate at the restaurant food was good, average price for the area. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. We were in the area for my daughter's marine graduation which we were very close to MCRD base big plus for that.

It was very reasonable price wise, but you get what you pay for. Dirty and very noisy. Inconvenient to get anywhere. Stay someplace closer to dt, the money you save on Uber rides is worth a more expensive location.
