Really good Hotel. Large rooms, with views over the beach and sea. Location is excellent and amenities good. Staff were very helpful and the piece that moves this Hotel to another level is the extra little things……such as free cycles, beach equipment and speaking events put on for hotel residents. Would recommend

We had an amazing stay at the Pacific Terrace Hotel! Wonderful service—my teen girls loved it too! Front access to the beach and nice pool. Good food too!

The hospitality crew were amazing! From check in to check out they were all very pleasant and accommodating. The rooms are spacious; however, they do not do much to keep out the noise. You can hear every sliding chair in the place. The bathroom needs major updating and a good cleaning. The lighting in the bathrooms needs to be upgraded as it is not sufficient because of the dark overhead paneling. The pool is very small and the number of chairs available can accommodate only a small number of people staying at this hotel. For the price of this hotel, almost $600 (including $44 a day for parking), it should be so much better!

Best but expensive hotel on the beach

Stayed 3 nights at Pacific Beach and the hotel was excellent. Right on the beach and beautiful view of the ocean from our balcony. Parking under the hotel was great too. Only complaint was the cost. $44 per night for parking and fees were high in addition to the nightly rate. But it's really an awesome place to stay - if you want to pay for it.

My daughter, her friend, and I had an incredible weekend from start to finish. We were warmly welcomed at check-in, and everything exceeded our expectations. The room was spotless, the beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable, and the view was absolutely perfect. Every detail—from the service to the kindness of the staff—was spot on. The staff were wonderful- very friendly and attentive. The grounds and facilities were clean and well maintained. The hotel location is fantastic--right on the Pacific Beach boardwalk with beach access, and many shops and restaurants near by. Pacific Terrace Hotel offers free bike rentals and sand toys. Parking is difficult to find so clients are pretty much obligated to park in their underground garage at $44.00 per night. Also, if you get a balcony room facing Diamond Street you will have to deal with some street lighting getting through the shutters and some parking traffic. We stayed in room 202 which had an ice machine near the door which can get very noisy throughout the night.

We loved the stay! The room was better than expected especially for a beachfront hotel. The grounds we well maintained and while not fresh and new were much better than many California beachfront locations. The staff was super friendly and extremely attentive!
