My stay at Marriott this past weekend unfortunately started off on a very negative note and never really improved.
The hotel charges $40 per day for parking, but fails to clearly disclose that the parking structure is extremely small and realistically only suitable for compact cars. Although there is a sign stating that the second level is for trucks or larger SUVs, that level was completely filled with compact vehicles. If you are driving a truck, I highly recommend finding street parking instead.
Unfortunately, we didn’t realize how inadequate the structure was until it was too late. While exiting, my husband’s truck was scratched due to how narrow the exit is, making it very difficult—if not impossible—to safely maneuver a larger vehicle out of the garage.
On top of the parking issues, our room was not cleaned at all throughout the entire weekend, which was extremely disappointing, especially given the expectations associated with staying at a Marriott.
To make matters worse, at the end of our stay I was still charged for parking, despite the fact that I did not park my car in the structure.
Overall, this stay fell far below expectations in terms of communication, service, and attention to guest experience.
