We stayed on one of the newly renovated room and it was incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was quite small but the rest of the room was very spacious. Bed was very comfortable. The restaurant on-site was closed during our stay but there are a few cafes and restaurants within walking distance!

I reserved a room with 2 beds for my sister and I for a one night stay at Sophia hotel. When we arrived at 4PM our room was not ready and Ian gave me two waters and two chocolate candy bars and offered two rooms with one bed in place of the one room with two beds on the newly renovated floor right next to each other at no extra charge. It worked out perfectly as we had our own space.

The hotel has a charming, vintage appeal that we really enjoyed, along with the comfortable rooms and welcoming ambiance. We were disappointed to find the restaurant closed for refurbishment, especially since this wasn’t disclosed at the time of booking. Parking was also somewhat inconvenient and overpriced, with limited availability. Unfortunately, the surrounding area was a letdown, with noticeable street cleanliness issues and a visible transient population. That said, we truly loved the hotel itself and look forward to staying again in the future.
