The front desk staff at check in was just short of rude. We asked for an early check in & left our cell #. Returned several hours later & checked on the progress of the room the lady I spoke to the second time stated there wasn’t anything on the record requesting early check in, sent me a text & instructed me to check back via text. After another hour I checked again & was told - they would let me know when it was ready! Oddly enough the gentleman working at the desk stated the room WAS ready & got us checked in. In addition to all this there was a “time share” company in the lobby that would not take no for an answer. They followed us through the lobby trying to “give us a free gift” any time we passed through the lobby. Even after we said no multiple times they just kept following us & talking! I except better from the Wyndham. The housekeeping staff was very nice, friendly & professional. Not sure I’d stay at this hotel again.

The hotel is across the road from the cruise port. The grounds around the hotel are very tidy (as is all of San Diego). It’s in a very walkable area. The hotel offers a free shuttle which was convenient for us as we were flying home. We just found the room old with a slight smell. The bathroom while very large was old and the barn style door didn’t close easily. The elevators were slow as well. I’m not sure I’d recommend staying there.

I didn’t like the “amenities” fee of $25 per day. You don’t get much of anything for your $25 a day. Everything else was great.

Front desk staff great. Hotel tower 3 needs TLC and a major updating. Bed very comfortable, room very dark and dated. Location great! View was spectacular of the city lights! I would stay here again.

Check in staff was kind of rude. I had called for early check in and they stated it was okay and that the room was ready. When I got there I was met with attitude and was told the room wasn’t ready. When I came back 2 hours later after the original check in time the room still wasn’t ready. Housekeeping kept trying to get into the room early in morning.

Nice hotel in great location

Great location for walking or using tram or bus. Loved the airport shuttle. Great choices for restaurants. Food was excellent at the deli and Claim Jumper. Large room, great view from balcony, comfortable beds. Everything was clean, updated and in good working order.

No cleaning up during entire stay we hanged up sign of changing towels but housekeeper didn’t change towels either also room very noisy. Worst we almost got scam at hotel lobby by staffs from Wyndham vacation club. When we check in at front desk while waiting for our room available some staff looks like hotel employee asked us personal information and checked photo ID then said we were eligible to go on a free “tour”to get sea world tickets and 2 night free hotel. On the next day he called our room at 8am Saturday got us on an uber to another hotel. They checked our ID again and filled out personal information then said because my mom over 65 years old so not qualified to get rewards. Is that discrimination of seniors? And illegally disclosure to personal information on behalf of hotel? Our vacation totally ruined by this accident.
