Check in staff kept telling me that my room wasn’t available for check in, until I asked them in frustration what is going on, then they all of a sudden found my room available. Very disingenuous and tricky behavior. They gave me a room where my balcony was not accessible, but they did not tell me that when I was checking in. It apparently was a child safety room, but they should have said that. I never requested for a room like that. Shower drain was clogged and water was pooling. They cleared it upon request. Staff cleaned my room when I told them not to.

Staff was courteous and professional. The hotel is old and in disrepair. Carpet was threadbare in our second room. The air conditioning in the first room we were in was not working and we had to repack and move to tower 3. Location is great but the rooms are not worth $229/night we paid. Hotel needs a total makeover. Would not recommend.

Smell was like "old carpets" on the corridor, elevator and room Room and in general like old and a lot of details on the walls and floor. No bottles of water at the room. They gave me the handicap room and always the bathroom is less nicer. For more than $250 it was way too expensive.

It was a nice older hotel. Seemed to be in good shape and clean. Positives were the airport shuttle and on site restaurant. Close to cruise port which is great. Heat didn't work in the room but they got it working. Took 2 complaints to do it tho. Negatives are the beds. Our room had long doubles instead of queens. Double beds have no business in a hotel room anymore. Our cc has a $20 charge that we don't know what it is for. We are waiting to see if it drops off. If it doesn't we will need to find out what it is for.

I stayed at the Wyndham Bayshore in San Diego for two nights during the week of my birthday. The hotel is beautifully located right in front of the water, and the views were truly a highlight of my stay. The property is older, and some areas—particularly the carpets—could benefit from refreshing. My initial room had a musty smell and some rooftop equipment noise, but the staff was attentive and gracious, helping to freshen the room and later moving me to a quieter floor, which I appreciated. Overall, it was a pleasant birthday stay with lovely views and thoughtful service, and with some updates, this hotel has the potential to be even better.

Room was fine. Check in was horrible tried 3 times in line 30 plus minutes each until able to check in, only 1 -2 check in staff, when flight crews show up the staff moves to check them in frist. Hotel shuttle does not run when needed by guest they only run during certain hotel set times
