Came later than planned and the front desk staff checked me in to a corner room after noticing there were double bookings somehow! What a nice upgrade and appreciated her doing that. I had to call Expedia and have them verify to cancel the other reservation. I lost my key a few times or left in the room and the front office staff were friendly. The bathroom was large and the Toto toilets were great. Didn’t use the restaurant or bar, but easily walked safely as a single woman traveler all around the area with great location to union square and market street trolley stop!

The lobby is absolutely stunning. The rooms feel a little dated but ours was clean and comfortable. The shower glass isn’t tall enough so we sprayed water on the floor. Beware- they put a fluffy stuffed dog called Buster on the bed, so the room is actually $35 higher than advertised. Evil genius who came up with that idea. My kid sleeps with it every night now…

Pool and hot tub were closed for construction but was not advertised or told on the listing. On top of that we couldn’t cast movies to the TVs, were told the system was down and would be replaced next week. For such an expensive room I expected better amenities

The hotel was very clean and quiet, which we really appreciated. However, there were a couple of issues during our stay. We arrived about 30 minutes before check-in, and even though our room was already ready, we were told we’d have to pay a $50 early check-in fee or wait until 3 PM. We had a baby with us, and it was disappointing that they weren’t more understanding in that situation. Additionally, the pool was under construction, and we weren’t informed in advance. Although the hotel offered an alternative option to use a nearby hotel’s pool, it wasn’t convenient for us, especially since we were still charged an amenities fee even though we couldn’t use the on-site facilities. Overall, the property itself was clean and quiet, but the lack of flexibility and communication made the experience less enjoyable than expected.
