We were in SF for 3 nights and this boutique hotel served our needs. It was clean and cozy. Good for single traveler or couples. I personally wouldn't stay here with family/kids due to the size of the rooms. There's no AC in the room, only ceiling fan but thanks to SF's cool weather during our visit, we were comfortable. It didn’t get too hot/cold for us. We did open the windows a few times when it got a little stuffy. The room does remind me of a studio. They're also not sound proof. You can hear every footstep, conversation and door closing in the hallway and from your neighbors room. I do wish they had a small fridge though. Check-in and check out was quick.
Con: Need better shower door. Every time we showered there was a puddle of water on the floor.
The hotel is right across the street from Union Square and close to stores like Nintendo, Macy's, Trader Joe's and high end shops (Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Saint Laurent etc). There's restaurant, cafes and bars nearby. The streets around the hotel were busy and bustling with people throughout the day, but found the area to be sketchy at night so we wrapped up playing tourist by 10pm. The hotels location made catching Lyft and Waymo very convenient.
Would stay here again for short/budget friendly trips.
