Really comfortable rooms. Very convenient location with numerous different shops, bars diners, etc within 2 blocks. Hotel doesn't have its own bar or restaurant and the Continental breakfast is very limited for the price that is added to cover breakfast. And it doesn't open until 8am on weekdays... As we had to be at our event prior to 8 it was useless to us. Our team liked their rooms, and other amenities. I would have no issue staying there again.

Overall a good location close to Union Square. However one cannot go to California these days without feeling ripped off. The $25/day ‘amenity’ fee is levied whether you take breakfast or not. It’s just yet another form of taxes due to exorbitant costs associated with running a business in CA. The hotel is quiet and overall clean with comfy beds. Be prepared for a lot of homeless and people wandering around with mental health issues. SF is a great city but has its problems.

Breakfast could be served a bit earlier so guests have the chance to enjoy it, since most tours start early in the morning. Regarding parking, it was clear from the start that the hotel doesn’t provide it, and cars can’t stay parked in front for long, so we were already aware of that. The hotel is in a great location, easy to walk everywhere and it truly reflects the charm and character of the place. It has history, and that’s one of the things I loved most about it. It’s full of personality and feels like being inside a movie.

A hidden gem on Post Street

One block off Union Square, this was a delight. An old property well cared for, we rented a suite and were quite happy with the space, the amenities, the staff, all of it. It felt much more friendly and welcoming than any high-end hotel we've ever stayed in. Heartily recommended.
