I know it wasn’t the Motel‘s problem, but the water was contaminated throughout the five cities around so it was just uncomfortable. We couldn’t really wash or brush teeth or wash properly. The room just smelled like urine to me. It didn’t smell like that to my fiancé, but it did to me

Bed base collapsed when I sat on it and was brutally noisy. Had booked a 7 night stay but could not sleep for the first 2 nights - so I checked out and asked the hotel for a refund. The hotel said no - “because I used a 3rd party booking agent”. Orbitz was useless - referred me back to the hotel. So lesson learned, don’t stay here and don’t expect Orbitz to help - I changed hotels and paid for the last 5 nights again!

Hidden little Dolphin jem

All 10s! We immediately fell in love with this cute property. Its on beach and actually technically at the pier. This property is very well kept. The floors and furniture seemed new. The paint inside and out were professionally done. And done well. After our 3rd days we wished we came earlier. Next time we will stay a full week. The Dolphin cove is perfectly located near everything you want. Even close to a few wineries. We visited 2. We stayed in room #22 upstairs. With beach and ocean views. We kept our curtains and door open most of time we were inside.

My second stay at this motel and both were great. The location is awesome, the views amazing the proximity to all the great shops in Pismo is super. Its an older building but everything is well maintained and comfortable. The prices were great for the area. Will go again.

I wanted to like this unique looking property.... but it was just ok. As we were carrying our bags into our room a dog ran in (to our room) and owner had to call it back out. It seems like they put us in a pet area, since we saw other dogs in hallway. Room was fairly clean Shower had very low pressure. Towels are horrible - wouldn't absorb moisture. Heater/Ac unit is old - so its either all constant heat or ac. Area was good.

When you book a room with an ocean view, it's a bit deceiving. If you're on ground level, you mostly see carsin the parking lot.
