Comfortable accommodations

Overall, the room was clean very spacious bed was firm but comfortable. Everything was clean. The room smelled great. The only thing is the air conditioner/heater did not work. The remote that was mounted to the wall looked like it was running low on batteries. The room was equipped with the ceiling fan, which kept the room comfortably cool overall it was one of the best overnight trips I’ve had in a long time.

Do not and I repeat do not stay here worst experience ever stayed here due to no other hotel being available. The customer service was atrocious, since walking in the owner was always shouting and then has her husband threaten you for a simple confusion on the reservation with Expedia and what payments were posted vs. What was charged. As for the room itself we tried to start the tub and the water took an hour to fill followed by black gunk coming out of the jets.. the room is definitely not sound proof people were shouting at all hours slamming doors and stomping from the top floor was definitely heard. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable with no extra pillows to try to get comfortable. Has to be one of the worst hotels l've stayed at in my honest opinion. And to top it off there was a couple fighting at 2 in the morning that's when the owner should have taken initiative and yelled not when there's a misunderstanding with Expedia. Forgot to mention everything smells like Curry !!!

The check in process was great. The staff member was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately there was a group of people next door who were talking loudly outside for several hours. I did not report this as they did leave for awhile and did quiet down when the quiet time started at 10:00. Just made my visit a little uncomfortable as my dogs kept wanting to bark at them. I also understand that Pismo Beach is a resort/vacation destination so people will be having fun.

Not Staying Again

Ive stayed here once before. The first time, I didn't want to leave a review but the thermostat was not working and there was no extra blanket. I let it go. This most recent time, the TV and TV remote were not working properly. I went to the front desk and was given verbal instructions. I went back to my room and followed the instructions. I still was not successful. I went back to the front desk but it was locked. I noticed some movement and heard noise from a window. I knocked and the property manager and/or owner came out. I told him the TV/TV remote were still not working. I asked him to come help me. He did and said it was because I wasnt in a deluxe room or something along those lines. No room at that property are "deluxe". The first time I stayed there, the room and bed were much smaller and I had no issues with the TV/TV remote. The man got mad, raised his voice at me and told me "ma'am I am not your babysitter." I know if I were male and/or not traveling alone, I would not have been spoken to that way. Oh and by the way, an entire family lives on the property.

The girl at the front desk was very friendly but outside of that this hotel was mediocre. The pillows were very flat and there was a bathroom towel that had a light yellow stain on it. The walls are super thin so when my next door neighbors came home from a night out I heard all the yelling and conversations. They do allow dogs which is a plus and they have a few outdoor tables on the second floor that you can sit at. The location is a couple blocks from the beach which is why I booked it but I don’t think it’s worth the price.

While I was super surprised upon arrival since I was expecting (based on the pictures posted) it to be directly on the pier, however it was super easy to get to the beach and shops/restaurants. The pictures that you see of the surrounding areas and even of the room are just a bit misleading though again, we enjoyed it and would stay here again for sure. Very clean, easily accessible, easy parking, friendly staff.
