Room was magnificent- like a small apartment. Had a great view of the city. Bedroom was dark but very comfortable. Bathroom clean and organised including washer/dryer. Kitchen well equipped. Check in was easy. It can be confusing to find the place but staff were happy to assist which was appreciated.

Top floor room with amazing views of the city. However, this hotel is VERY noisy up until 4am with people coming in very loudly. Very basic and clean but could do with some upgrades

The staff are friendly and the hotel and room in general were nice. A few good amenities in each room. It's an interesting building and layout. Our bedroom was next to the room entrance, which means you could hear all the movement on the wooden floors. Unfortunately I had booked a specific room, for a special trip with my daughter which we did not get. I was never told of the change until I asked after seeing the room, then they could not accommodate my request. It was disappointing that there was no communication about this. It does not make for a great customer experience.

Comfortable stay in studio room

Our stay was comfortable. I last stayed in this hotel about 20 years ago and apart from the shops downstairs, not much has changed. Place is dated and has a warehouse feel. We booked a studio over the Kings bday weekend. Although busy, it was surprisingly quiet. Room was spacious, clean and well equipped with kitchen/laundry facilities. Negatives were the noisy air con and bright microwave clock. We enjoyed our stay and would probably stay again.

Historic Building and tired Apartments!

After being allocated an already occupied room, and having to endure the ensuing debacle of “oh this couldn’t have happened” we got to enjoy a stay with a bathroom tap that leaked so ferociously I thought we were going to drown in our sleep, a shower head so low I could say that my armpits, let alone my head had little danger of wetness. The room was tired, kind of like we were after being stuffed around by check-in. Location on the other hand is great, the parking close by and well priced for Sydney

I stayed here for 4 nights on a work trip to Sydney. I will not be staying here again. In general terms, the property is old and outdated, and while the room I had was spacious and well appointed, the only window in the bedroom opened into the hallway. The design of the building is such that all floors are open to each other, so noise on other floors is essentially on your floor as well. Lot's of banging and yelling in all hours of the night. I had 4 nights of terrible sleep. Location wise, while it appears good on the map, due to the surrounding roads, to get into the city you have a limited choice of footbridges which mean it's actually much further away in practice than theory.

I’ve stayed many times over the years and noticed this time that it’s looking a little bit tired. The TV reception was very poor and I couldn’t watch it but the other touches such as the coffee machine, laundry facilities etc were welcome. Great position and an easy walk over to the waterfront and catch the light rail. I will definitely stay again but I hope they do something about the TV

Friendly staff and good location, and clean, but small things for convenience and comfort missing. Example, power points in bedroom not accessible, behind the bed and low behind bedside tables. No disposable slippers to use. No tissue boxes. No complimentary water. A bit depressing with no real windows to the outside. It’s really a place for a sleep and use amenities when needed. Locals great though.
