The most incredible hotel stay i’ve had in my life, the lovely receptionists upgraded us to a beautiful suite with the comfiest bed ever for our anniversary, the pool facilities were unreal and so picturesque for a nighttime swim. buffet was amazing and all facilities were sparkling clean. can’t wait to stay again. thank you so much

When we arrived we booked in and went to our room, the room was not the one we had originally booked. It was totally different from the room we thought we had paid for. The room we booked was spacious, had a balcony and an inbuild spa bath. The room they gave us had no balcony was not spacious and had a bath. I went back down and questioned the lady at check in. She was very helpful and offer us another room. When we entered the other room it was still not the room we had paid for. We went back down to check in again and further put our complaint forward. I showed the lady pictures of the room we had paid for which was not a standard room but one of the most expensive rooms in the building. They could not answer why I didn't get this room but to their credit they offered an upgrade to a two bedroom room? we were asked to inspect the room, on entering the room was not to our liking, it had no balcony and no spa or bath? We went back to check in and asked them again why the room we paid for was not available, again to answer but they did offer us a drink credit of $50, we said thanks but no thanks, they then offered a bottle of Champaign to our room, again thanks but no thanks, at this time we were running out of time for our dinner booking, we told the lady we would settle on the second room they offer and requested breakfast for two, which the lady agreed too. In all very disappointed.

They don't accept your visa debit card if it's on the mobile they need to see the card with numbers etc. Complicated and wasted 30 mins checking in. They took $200 on my eftpos card. When i checked our they were not able to put the $ back on the card. So now it's with the accounts team to sort out n i have to wait to hear back from them. They also don't give $ outright. Very disappointed n won't be staying there again

Very noisy with children running up and down the corridors outside the rooms and knocking on the door. One night there was also a party going on in the room next door, with multiple male guests and inappropriate language and behaviours that could be heard from the balcony (sounded like a bucks party). I don’t think I’d spend the money again on what should have a luxurious treat for myself and my children. I did not inform reception of the party going on (due to concerns about possible negative repercussions) but I should have.

We are return guests from interstate who love the location of this hotel and the undercover, on-site parking. The rooms are quiet and spacious. The beds and pillows are really comfortable. Being so close to Darling Harbour, the ferries and light-rail makes this hotel a great choice.

Haven’t stayed at the star in years, was a nice hotel, and we got an upgrade to a suite as it was my partners b’day! Room was spacious and clean, quite nicely/modernly designed considering the last visit was 20 years ago. Had a delicious meal at Sokyo and finished the night with some roulette and music. All round pleasant experience!

Horrible service at the Star Casino. There was constant issues with the reservation and the inclusions. The Harvest buffet had horrible selection of food and beverages and it had a terrible odour throughout the entire restaurant. The level of cleanliness was below average with stains on the sheets and towels. I won’t be coming back to this hotel.
