Train noise unbearable. i contacted the hotel after booking requesting to stay in a room on a high floor as reviews about train noise was concerning. this past weekend. I stated that we were coming from North Queensland for a break and needed a quiet room. i received a response saying that i needed to lay $20 extra per night to guarantee staying on floors 11-14. I was disheartened to have to pay extra to guarantee a high floor room. However, I figured that if there are 10 levels for Harbour Bridge King rooms which is what i booked, chances are following my specific request I would most likely out of good will on the part of the Hotel, have a room on a floor closer to floor 10. What I didn't expect was to check in and find that we were allocated Room 202. For two days/nights, the train shook the room. it was also so loud we needed to shout to speak to each other. all day and night. Although the view was nice, I am have no doubt something higher up and still a Harbour Bridge King would have been better. I don't know if rooms are allocated by Reservations or by the check in staff. I found the person who checked us in to be very condescending. She looked at my partner and I like we were garbage. I was considering booking the hotel for a future function with at least 20+ rooms required. Not anymore. "Big mistake. Huge".

There was a domestic violence dispute going on in the bedroom next door I rang the reception twice and was about to call the police myself when someone finally came up to stop them and the screaming after it had been going for hours! Also we were not told that trains would be going next to the hotel all day and night so we did not sleep either - not great stay at all

A great place to stay for all types of travel

Friendly staff and amazing views. Very convenient to the train station and surrounding malls. Best feature for us was that it was truly dog friendly. Our fur baby was extremely welcome and they provided a comfy dog bed and bowls with the reasonable surchage. We would never have considered staying in North Sydney but we will definitely be back. Highly recommend for all types of travellers, with and without pooches. The restaurant also was advertising very reasonably priced meals. We will definitely try it next time.

We had a great stay at View Sydney. Our room had views of the Harbour Bridge and Lunar Park. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Our room was refreshed daily. Easy access to public transport as North Sydney train station is just downstairs. Only minor issue is the train noise as the Hotel is over train tracks. Not overly noisy, but can hear trains come and go, during train operation hours. Overall I rate our stay and this Hotel 5 stars. Highly recommended. Would be a great spot for New Year’s Eve fireworks in the Harbour.

Everything was great, we were lucky to get free street parking. There is no exhaust fan in bathroom, which I strongly suggest. Other than that, everything was really good. Staff was helpful.
