The Sandcastle is always a pleasant and comfortable beach experience. It’s near everything and the views are perfect. I travel for work a lot and this is one of my favorite places to stay when I’m in Pismo

We loved our stay at Sandcastle!! The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. Rooms were completely clean and felt safe. We had everything we needed. This will be our new go to for Pismo!

The hotel is in a great location within walking distance to the beach, shopping centers, and restaurants. However, I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. There was visible dust in the corners, some dust and what appeared to be eyelashes in the bathtub, and a stain on one of the pillowcases. Additionally, a personal item, a new pair of Adidas shoes belonging to my daughter was accidentally left behind. When I contacted the hotel, I was simply told that “nothing was found in the room.” There was no effort to investigate further, such as checking with housekeeping or reviewing who had cleaned the room. This is the first time I’ve had this kind of experience with a hotel regarding lost items, and it was very disappointing.

We like the Sandcastle Hotel because its unobstructed ocean front views. It is close to the Pier but far enough to not be impacted by large gatherings around the Pier.

I enjoyed our stay. An inconvenience was the room above us, they were constantly running around after 10pm at night. you just hear them left to right, back and forth, etc. There is also no microwave and they charge a $20 fee to use theirs.. Wow.. $30 parking fee.. Beautiful oceanfront views.. Expect to have little flies in your room if you leave the doors open too long (not their fault at all). Very convenient to the local shops, the pier, and restaurants Would I stay here again? Probably, but other places do offer free breakfast, free parking, have a pool and microwave with no extra fees..
