Unique and beautiful architecture, however the chapel was always closed unfortunately. The room had a plumbing issues, making noises, the tub was old and chipped. And I couldnt believe the whole hotel was out of soap so we had to use shower gel to wash our hands. The food wasnt impressive and they mostly offered Mexican food. The Italian restaurant was closed and the steakhouse way overpriced.

The Mission Inn is a special property. It’s old and it shows. But it’s super clean and highly maintained. We had room 247 which was above a doorway to the street. Early in the morning, we could hear luggage being rolled out and many voices. It looked like a flight crew assembled there and were taken away via a minivan. I would recommend not staying in this room if you value a good night’s sleep. Also, we watch MSNBC. For some reason, it was blocked on our TV even though it was listed in the Guide. Made me wonder if there were political reasons for it??? It didn’t get fixed even though the maintenance guy said IT would do a refresh. Otherwise, staff were helpful and courteous. Not sure we’d go back. Glad we stayed there one more time. It holds a nostalgic place in our hearts as my parents took us to Xmas dinner there, several times when we were kids. Thank you!

When we arrived at the from desk at midnight, there was already another lady there that was truly upset and warned us not to stay here. It seemed like there were only 3 employees working there at 1 time. But at least the staff were polite. For the 10.5 hours we slept there I was charged $688. There is no free breakfast, no free WiFi, and minimal service. But we did get 3 towels for a 4 person room and a TV that had 8 channels and kept turning off randomly. We called for more towels that never came but managed. It’s a beautiful hotel and I appreciate the history, but for close to $700 a night I can get so much more, but at least the short staff is friendly.

The surrounds are beautiful. The beds were comfortable. The plaza outside was very nice, except for the leaf blowing every morning at sunrise.:) The food was a little bland at the three places we dined in. We were hoping for bolder menu items. The bathroom shower curtain was loose so the bar hung down, causing the shower curtain to sink to the middle. The sink stopper wasn’t connected to the handle. The front desk could be a little more friendly but the servers at the restaurants were great.

While the hotel looked and felt beautiful, the room itself needs upgrades. The bathroom had a dripping water sound that we heard all night long and the a/c never went cooler than 75 the whole night. Thankfully there was a window that we could open since it was pretty chilly at night.

Save your money and stay away from this hotel

This has got to be the worst hotel stay I have ever had. Extremely Loud music that vibrated the room all night. Screaming at all hours of the day. DJ going all night long. The AC is broken and there is a constant clicking sound from a space above the bathroom. I called down to the front desk to ask if there was a event going on because it was so loud and she pretended to not know what noise I was talking about and basically said there was nothing she could do.
