The bed was squeaky. There was hot water for three minutes and then it went cold things were broken in the room or missing. The ceiling fan couldn’t be used because it made so much noise. checking in was an absolute nightmare, and it was my honeymoon we were overcharged. It’s not worth the money to stay there it is way overpriced for what they offer

It was clean and updated but the noise from the street was too loud. The beds and room were comfortable. The breakfast was simple but it had hot items like scrambled eggs and potatoes and bacon. I give Chris the general manager 5 stars. He helped with an issue and was kind and efficient. I like the location which is easy to find and has tennis court but the rooms need to be updated to keep the noise out.

This is my second time staying at The Pierpont. The staff are super friendly and helpful, the facilities are clean and comfortable. Being an historic property under renovation, there are certain cosmetic issues, but those are superficial and didn't effect our stay. The walk to the beach was easy and the surrounding grounds beautifully kept. The complimentary breakfast is better than typical fake hotel food. What else can I say? I can recommend The Pierpont and would stay again if I need a place in Ventura. Thanks!

My honest review as a former local

Was not blown away. Grew up in Ventura and this is a staple of the city. But it is in a state of neglect. The propert desperatly needs a remodel. Bugs and spiders in the room. Musky smelling as well. I loved this place as it has alot of memories when i was a kid. But i will probably stay somewhere else next time Bedding was awesome! Super comfy bed and pillows. Plenty of hot water. But rhe ocean view, well you get a great view of the 101 freeway :) and pretty noisy with all the traffic. Staff was very professional and courteous and accomadating.

A California coastal "classic" that has seen better days. Beds are comfortable but the property definitely needs a refresh. Not dirty but curtains are stained and carpet appears to be from the 1970's motel standard. Construction of reception area seems to have stalled, leading to needing to wander into a small back area to check-in. Hot water failed in an entire building during our stay.

The room was nice. It had a fireplace and view with patio facing the pool. There were 4 towels but no wash cloth. The chair at the desk was tattered and should be redone or replaced.
