The room was dirty and things were falling apart. It is in an area that isn’t safe to go out on the patio and sit to view the ocean. Would never stay here again.

Stayed the night prior to running Ventura marathon, Beautiful area with view. Easy fast check in. AC wasn’t working so room was stuffy but besides that everything went well along with allowing us to check out a little later than usual for the ac inconvenience.

The location is great! Walk to the beach is very easy! The rooms, were very large! But… the furniture is awful! Old and worn out! Everything needs to be replaced , just awful decorating! It’s obvious they are going to renovate the hotel, it’s just sad they are charging you $200 a night for such low quality rooms! And the commode was for a child!! No room service, no restaurant, and no lobby either! Free breakfast was pretty good, and very pretty landscaping!

The outside of the hotel looks rustic, but the suites are really nice, modern, spacious and the hotel is a two minute walk from the beach

Hotel nice but has potential to be a lot nicer! Under construction, not many amenities! Staff very nice and views of ocean were beautiful! Hotel had a mold scent which maybe because of construction!

The air conditioning did not keep the rooms cool. One room had to keep the windows open. The staff was really helpful and brought in a fan to help with keeping cool. Having to open the windows caused traffic noise to be extremely loud and irritating. Breakfast was good.

The room itself was fine and the staff was most excellent. I guess it felt like the downstairs from the reception desk was akin to a dungeon. A bit rough around the edges. Walls are pretty thin so you could hear neighbors sneezing and talking. The refrigerator didn’t work so some breakfast food I bought spoiled. We weren’t staying long so we didn’t bother the staff with these things. We would stay here again though, just in the better rooms on the other side of the hotel (this was our second visit).

The hotel reservation was made due to the location for the Ventura Marathon. The website images are inaccurate. The hotel lobby is a small outdated room with one person at a desk. The doors to the rooms face the outdoors and have minor cosmetic issues (walls, baseboards, etc.). The hotel was not necessarilly bad - just not as pictured and not worth the nightly rate. I would have selected somewhere else if accurate photos were posted.

Shower was dirty. I found a used white sponge in there. My friend and I stayed there to run the Ventura Marathon and I had asked the front desk if we could get a late check out due to us having to leave at 4 am to get our bus for our run and they said “no”. We just wanted a few hours after our marathon to come back after our race to gather our belongings and take a quick shower before traveling home and they didn’t care to accommodate us in any way. They also don’t have any elevators. So, if you’re staying in the second floor you have to carry all your belongings up their stairs to get to your room. I will not be staying here again.

We have stayed here several different times. Our grandkids were little and now they’re graduating so it’s been many years. This visit we had noisy neighbors and then in the next room over a pipe broke and flooded our room. Thankfully nothing in our room got ruined. They moved us to a different room and we did get compensated for one night for our troubles. So overall it ended well.

I’ve stayed here before and it was a great experience. Currently going through remodeling so do not think it is in best aesthetic or condition. I am excited to be back when the remodel is complete

Overpriced no restaurant to eat at unable to speak to management management is rude the Vickers estate seems like a halfway house dirty carpet chipped and peeling furniture stains on the comforter dirty floors dirty ceiling fan breakfast was terrible ocean view at the Vickers estate by freeway obstructed by the freeway and can see They do not take care of the facility by the roof in front of the window no ice machine dirty microwave smells musty I would never suggest this for anyone worst place I've ever stayed at for how expensive it is
