This is a great place to stay; just off the 405 (about 20 minutes to LAX on a good day), close to Brentwood and Santa Monica.

Convenient to the Getty. Our room was spacious and quiet. It’s a pretty hotel with lovely grounds. Staff are nice. Seems like they are renovating as the hall floors were bare concrete. Good thing as the room needed a refresh. Only chair in room was a single desk chair. Coffeemaker in room was broken. Full breakfast included but service was very slow and overwhelmed.

The website says breakfast included, but that’s not the case. We had 3 people on the reservation with 2 beds in the room. Upon check-in, they told me breakfast was only for 2 people. When we went to the restaurant in the morning, they said the breakfast voucher covered $65 dollars, regardless of how many people eat. A plate of 2 eggs, bacon and potatoes is $30, not including drink. Also, the property doesn’t have self parking. If you want your car on-site, the only option is to valet, which is $50. The valet said that if I didn’t want to valet the car, then I could drive around the neighborhood and try to find parking on the street, which is not close by since the hotel is next to the freeway. The lobby is nice, but the rooms themselves are pretty dated and carpet is old and dirty, much like a motel. I tried to iron my shirt in the morning and the iron is so old/cheap that the wires were making false contact, so had told hold the cord with the other hand so it would stay straight for it iron to stay on, that’s the quality you get in the rooms.

Only reason I gave service a 4 is because sometimes they seemed surprised to have guests. When we were served, the servers were friendly and attentive. Apart from that, they made us feel at ease and the stay was very comfortable

I last stayed at this hotel in March 2018 and had a very positive experience, which is why I chose to book it again for a one-night stay with my son in Los Angeles. While booking, I noticed the hotel now has a rating of 7.4, which surprised me—I had expected a higher score based on my previous visit. However, after our stay, I now understand the lower rating. The property no longer matches the standard I remembered. While the staff was still relatively friendly, the overall condition of the hotel has declined. For example, we had two queen beds in our room, and both were visibly crooked and unstable—it felt like the bed frames were loose or damaged, which made for an uncomfortable night. Unfortunately, the hotel did not live up to my past impression.

This hotel is super ugly, dirty, and they charge you for everything, even for the coffee. On the website it says the internet is free, but in the hotel they tell you it's not free, and the breakfast is terrible. They also charge you, it's not free. This hotel will charge you even for the toilet paper. It's super ugly. Do not stay at this hotel. There is no friendly staff, they are rude. They charge you for the coffee and for everything, you have to leave them a ridiculous tip. Do not stay here.
