The staff were amazing! Everyone was so helpful and willing to go above and beyond to make it a great experience! I love it there and will return for the next trip. Only thing is the gift shop was not open

We have stayed at a few different properties in Santa Monica on the same street as the Sandbourne. The photos and reviews on Expedia led us to stay there. However, immediately upon arrival we knew it was too good to be true. The staff was good but not great, B- grade. Our room did not feel fresh and the closets were musty with poor lighting. In fact, the entrance of the room where the closet and full length mirror had a dimmed light. We felt like a dark room where they develop photos in the movies. The bed was lump. The shower door was hard to open and close. Good thing we brought our owe toiletries. They had the most undesirable products and the toilet paper was poor quality. We followed the reviews on Expedia but knowing the area we should have gone with the reputation of others hotels.
