Victorian... sort of.

It was a great value but was surprised that you don't stay in the Victorian home. The hotel is standard fare behind the Victorian and only the front desk is in the Victorian style home. T but the room was clean and the beds were comfy. You have to pay $19 for parking and the shower didn't have great water pressure. The hotel I would say was very reasonable and within walking distance from downtown and would stay there again in the future.

Bed was comfortable and loved the breakfast and cheese/wine hour. Not the best wine but appreciate the gesture. Love how close of a walk it to the aquarium, beach, shops, food, etc.

We stayed overnight and it was okay but I wouldn’t say it was spectacular. I wish they gave clear instructions on parking prior to arrival so I knew where to find it. The lady that checked us in was nice but she didn’t give many details as to where to find ice or any perks. I’m pretty sure the ice was in another building and since we were on 3rd floor it wasn’t easily accessible. We also had no idea that the elevator was connected to the parking garage. Had we known it would have saved us the hassle of walking our luggage around the whole hotel. It was just little things that would have been nice to know and made a big difference.

The property was nice, breakfast was great and cheese and wine hour was awesome! But the room had NO a/c, not even a fan mode.. only heat, was extremely noisy w people walking around loudly in the middle of the night every couple hours, loud doors slamming and people in hallway, didnt sleep but 2 hours off and on.

A beautiful old house for a facade. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We had fireplace and a small balcony that let you enjoyed the cool breeze of the bay. Great value and just a short walk to Cannery row. Wine and cheese hour a plus!

Great Place to Stay In Monterey

My wife and I spent 3 nights here and loved our stay. The room was large and comfortable. The location is great with lots of things to do within walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have a good breakfast, although the room is a bit small which wasn't a problem when we were there, but I can imagine being a problem in busier seasons. The pilot light on the fireplace was making a bad noise on our second night there, but they sent a maintenance worker over quickly upon request to take care of the problem. We appreciated their quick response to our complaint. We'd stay here again for sure.
