Good location but noisy.

Great location. The hotel is just across the road from the BART Powell Street stop and also the Powell & Market cable car stop. Walking distance to Union Square and lots of local restaurants and diners. Unfortunately the hotel was noisy and you could hear the toilet flushing from the floors above and also the room next door which was annoying and disturbing in the early hours. The water and ice machine didn’t work on the 6th floor. We ate breakfast at Dirty Habits restaurant on the 5th floor which was very nice and reasonably priced. Overall great location but the hotel is in need of some renovating.

The VIP upgrade and feature was amazing! The front desk check in person- i believe his name was Mark but definitely the night shift- was a highlight as was the cleaning staff. The only drawback for me was the restaurant bar- i thought they were open for lunch and it was difficult to find anyone or even figure out their hours. Over all wonderful!

Comfortable hotel. Small rooms but intelligently planned. Elevators are vintage, so be prepared to wait, but that's the only downside. Very convenient to the ballpark, convention center, all Gaslamp restaurants.
