This was our first visit to Sydney. It was a memorable and enjoyable vacation. The staff at 57 Hotel were very accommodating and provided professional service. Also, the hotel was a short distance to the Central train station.

Great location if you're taking the train or tram from Central station. The King plus one room was a good size with plenty of space for 2 people. Liked the sunny bathroom of the north facing rooms. However noise level from pipes and electrical system throughout the nights meant we had to sleep with ear plugs. Would always sound like someone was running a bath above your room. It kinda feels like a former office block converted to hotel rooms.

awkward bathroom

We loved the location (great Surry Hills restaurants and right by Central Station) and the hotel was clean and the staff friendly and responsive. What I didn't realize is that the bathroom is located by the windows so you always had to close the shades when you used it . That was super awkward and inconvenient. Weird disco balls and overly dark/moody design. Not likely to book again but not a bad experience. Just bad bathroom design.

57 is always a pleasure to visit. Very handy to transport hubs to city, the East, or airport. Nice modern rooms, terrific staff, and generous complimentary breakfast items - good beverages then too. I always look forward to staying here when in transit. Recommended.

Excellent except for the cold room

Only problem was that the room was cold and there was no extra blankets or anything and I actually put on my clothes to Sleep which is kind of bizarre but I couldn't get the thermostat to work. But the Price was incredibly good-----it was late and I didn't want to ask them how it worked I wanted to go to bed
