The king bed was comfy but the pillows were all so high we couldn’t lie flat properly. The room advertised looked medium sized but the actual room was tiny, with a small window that looked out onto air conditioning and structures on roofs. Breakfast was part of the package but less than I thought would be offered for the price. We paid above $400 for this room and were disappointed that we could have stayed in a hotel with a bigger room that was cheaper with more facilities. The staff were all so lovely however and it was close to the Capitol Theatre where we saw a show. Overall, for the price we paid, it didn’t meet expectations.

The hotel itself was very nice, clean, and comfortably furnished. I elected to stay a Friday night in the cbd as I had a scheduled event early in the morning the next day and didn't wish to travel in from home on the day. Our room was on the second floor and was unfortunately directly over top of a bar which was blasting its music loudly until at least 1am. This is no fault of the hotel, but it makes it very hard to enjoy your stay and feel fresh for the event the next morning.

Clean and convenient hotel

The room appears clean but is quite small. No hangers or place to hang clothing. Bathroom trash can is too small and probably better without the swinging lid. I wish the outlet plug is not over the toilet. It seems so unsanitary for cords to touch the toilet. The front desk is always very professional. The place is very convenient and accessible to public transportation.

To be greeted by Duty Manager Thomas at 08:30 with a welcoming smile was just what we needed after a long flight, not expecting to check in but Thomas apologised not being able to to check us in due to a Full House the previous night which we totally understandable Thomas kindly offered to look after are luggage after we had a rest in the lounge area & to stay as long as was need When we were returned later in the day again a warm greeting from Team members Will & PuPut Was impressed with Alex Kiwi Mereana Finally thanks to the Breakfast Crew We would have no hesitation in recommending The Capitol & look forward to retuning on our next visit to Sydney Location, Quietness Safety also help to give it 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ +

Such a perfect spot if seeing a show and traveling a long way from home! We were concerned we wouldn’t get parking but managed to get a spot. The security was good being in such a busy spot in the city, I felt safe. The Hotels aesthetic is gorgeous, moody and dramatic - perfect for next to the theatre.

Good hotel for basic needs and very good for travelling around with a nearby tram to go to the Docklands, Royal Opera House/Sydney Bridge. Central Train Station is very close which is useful for travelling to the blue mountains.
