Checked in and 1st room aircon did not work. Eventually changed to different room. Much bigger than original room which had a very tiny bathroom. Both rooms had been newly renovated but walking down hallway felt and sounded like the floor was going to collapse. Staff were friendly but not professional. Very overpriced for what it is but prices seemed inflated for AC/DC concert dates.

Room was neat, clean and quiet. Good location. The security code access system worked well. The A/C unit did not work as it should as it did not cool the room and would shut down after a few minutes if set to "Cool" mode. Fan mode worked. As windows are sealed closed the room did get very hot and stuffy.

How close to central it was for an over night stay maybe once the Reno’s are done it might be ok but. Night time staff not very helpful. Lots of noise from street then works early hours.

Good: Room was clean, although a little dated, comfy bed and serviced daily including bottled water. Food and drinks from downstairs bar were excellent. Friendly and obliging staff. Excellent location. Not so good: Hotel current under renovation. Construction noise from 6.00am. Street noise from 24hr bar opposite and trams. Elevator not working (staff happily assisted with luggage). No secure luggage storage (limited storage within bar area). Very, very slow free wi-fi

On arriving at Property staff very helpful but room on my inspection had a shower door that only could be opened inwards, no way around it . notified staff who could not help as hotel was full, rang in morning and could not say if they had another room till others had booked out at 10am, difficult for me as I had meetings to attend at 8.30am elsewhere and my elderly husband I left there in room, then had to leave my important meeting to rearrange moving all into a new room which staff did send me notification of prior. but also that cleaners needed to clean my original room. just a comment by staff that they would be renovating bathrooms.I wonder who else had not complained re the shower and it was being cleaned for the next customer!!! On arriving back at the desk I only had an apologetic word from the lass on the Bar who was very helpful but not a word of apology from Proprietor. This hotel is convenient to my office and Trains, and have stayed before and meals very nice.
