Compare Cheap Hotels in Chippendale

We were really blown away when we arrived at this hotel after an 11 hour flight. Bellhops and check in staff all in pristine uniforms. It seemed like every guest was dressed in pressed business clothes. Ferraris and BMWs out front. Very fancy. We were in rumpled travel clothes. I don’t even think I had packed clothes for anything other than hiking or the beach. I felt so out of place, but every single employee made us feel like VIPs. From the front bellhop who told us silly stories and gave us great directions to the waterfront to see the Opera House up close to the front clerks who made sure our room was perfect. Room was fabulous and our view of the Opera House amazing. (Get the executive room with the view. Totally worth the extra money.) This hotel is within walking distance to the train station, the harbour and ferries, shopping and of course, the Sydney Opera House. We took the ferry to the zoo and back with no issues. The only complaint I would have is the breakfast. It’s pretty pricey. You get to pick an item on the menu, have access to the buffet and can order a drink like a latte or a cappuccino. The staff are great and the view of the city awesome. It just didn’t taste very good. Everything was really pretty and magazine cover worthy, but most of it was either dry or undercooked. The sun was shining directly in my boyfriend’s eyes the entire time as well. When we asked to lower the blinds a little we were told it would affect the view.

Little National was a gem of a hotel close to Sydney Harbour. Excellent service. Loved the roof top patio with free expresso/cappacino coffee machine. Great value for your money.

Great rooms, great view, very convenient location

Very good location for a short break

Staff were fantastic, very accommodating and friendly. The location is great all forms of transport are virtually on the doorstep and most of all the view of the harbour is as good as any postcard produced.

This hotel is in the middle of the city and is conveniently located to everything. 15min walk to Sydney Harbour and 5min walk to Darling Harbour. Room size was decent. The bed was so comfy and the room was clean. If I had to complain about anything (which is out of the hotel’s control) is the loud cars driving by. Definitely a great stay with friendly staff.
