I felt very unsafe, tried to park and homeless everywhere, bad neighborhood amd most of the area was boarded up, i didnt evem want to check in, i drove past amd left

The parking situation is horrible. The first night, I parked in the St. Vincent parking garage. I felt safe in the parking garage, but was scared as soon as I walked out on the street and had to find the hotel. The second night, I was later and the St. Vincent lot was closed. Used the parking garage across the street from the hotel. That parking garage felt very scary and was filthy. So many homeless and sketchy people around the hotel. Area outside hotel was disgusting. Gross messes and garbage on the sidewalk. Open drug use. The room set up was very cool, but there was a stong scented air freshener plugged into the wall. I unplugged the air freshener and discovered that it was covering a urine smell. There was no housekeeping service. No fresh towels. It took about 10 minutes to get warm water to come out of the shower. The shower pipes let out horrible screeches and moans during my entire shower. Some people live in the building and that created a different feel. For the amount of money that I paid for the room, I would expect better.

The reception team were excellent and willing to help. The location of the property was also highly desirable, with multistorey car parks adjacent to the property. However, the unit I booked had a very strong mouldy smell to it and we even saw white dusty / powdery stuff on the bedsheets, necessiating an immediate request to change the sheets. The one of sofa's cover was coming off in certain areas, whilst the other is due an urgent change as the cushion is flat in the middle and we virtually sat on the wooden frame. The bathroom has no ventilation.,neither were the windows in the flat. In summary, the flat needs Urgent attention!! Sad I am unable to upload pictures with this review.

Great place to stay in LA

Fantastic Hotel and Downtown LA was a surprise, plenty to do, great places to eat. Would definitely stay here again. Large spacious modern room that was extremely clean and relatively affordable. The staff was friendly and helpful when we needed help.

Too noisy/loud and it's not clean around the hotel. If you're traveling with small kids, I wouldn't recommend. Overall it's a nice place to stay. I like the style of the duplex, with kitchen, it gives you that apartment look/feel. I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel itself is very nice and rooms were great but the area it's in is horrible parking situation was also very horrible too many homeless and drug users in that area was verbally attacked in the parking lot did not feel safe in that area at all

Wonderful wonderful wonderful hotel! We loved our room! It was spacious, and clean. My kids had their own sleeping space. It was very comfortable. My only negative was the location. Not knowing much about LA, didn't fancy the dirty streets and flies everywhere.

The hotel was great. The restaurant Flamebachi had great food. Just be careful of some of the sketchy characters in and around the neighborhood. We saw a show at the Belasco and it was very convenient. The room was great. Spacious clean, comfortable and modern. The woman at the front desk was Swedish and quite friendly. Everyone there was great.

The neighborhood is pretty sketchy! This is on the verge of a pretty rough part of town which I didnt ealize when booking...thus the decent price I suppose. The place itself was larger than I expected but did have a funny layout. Ceilings are open to each of the bedroom areas so don't count on privacy if you are traveling with someone. The design was neat, and vibe was cool. Lots of doors! It was overall fairly clean, but the bottoms of my feet were dirty after walking around, and dirt got on towel when i was wiping up some water. The windows are VERY thin. I hear everyone that was outside in this particular unit, 8 floors down. It sounded like the windows were open and they were right outside them. Screaming, music and sirens all night. I did rent this unit because I needed a kitchen, so that was convenient. I might stay here again, but with husband in tow.

Great place!

Excellent place in walking distance of a lot of sites. My only suggestion would be to have a broom and kitchen towels available to clean up after ourselves (kids).
