It’s an older hotel, with the rooms definitely ready for renovation. The rooms are still clean and comfortable, with good amenities. The rates are quite reasonable, although that seems to attract some of the more raucous tourist crowd (heard some loud yelling in a foreign language in the hallway after 11pm). Although I didn’t do so this time, I have stayed on the Club level at this hotel complex, and the breakfast and drinks in the Club are quite nice. The Japanese gardens are also pleasant, and the Tully’s Coffee and 7-11 within the building is convenient. The location is a bit of an uphill haul from Shinagawa Station, so be ready for a workout, especially if you have a lot of luggage.

The staff were amazing but overall we found the property quite "tired". The furniture and carpet in our rooms were wearing thin and shabby and overlooked the green and slimy pool areas.

The staff were excellent and the hotel is really nice, maybe a little old, but that made it cool. Only negatives was the hallways stank of cigar smoke and although our room was non-smoking, there was a funny sour (not smoke) smell, might’ve been the humidity?

We recently stayed at this hotel and had an overall pleasant experience, although there are a few things to be aware of. The property is beautiful, the staff are friendly, and it’s conveniently located near a train station. Dry cleaning was handy, and the on-site 7-Eleven was convenient, though more expensive than in the city. However, the hotel is far from most attractions ($100 to Disney, $55 to Shibuya), and there isn’t much within walking distance. The hotel doesn’t assist with transportation for parties of more than four, which was fine since we used Uber and the train station. However, one of our drivers changed the price mid-ride, and it would have been nice if the staff could have helped plan. The rooms could use some updating. One of ours had recurring power surges that required nightly calls to the front desk—pretty unsettling in the middle of the night. Housekeeping was okay, but they took our trash can and never returned it. Breakfast was good but expensive. It’s much cheaper if booked in advance, but it didn’t work for our entire group, so we paid the daily rate, which added up quickly. The hotel also charges for late checkout. In short, if you’re looking to save and don’t mind being a bit out of the way, it’s a solid option. But next time, I’d choose something closer to the attractions with more walkable access.

Very beautiful property. The garde was simply tranquil. The staff were very friendly and hospitable. About a 7 minute walk to the train station. The only downside (to me) was walking up and down the hill to get to and from the train station. It's doable, but after walking around all day sight seeing, the last thing I really wanted to do was carry bags or luggage uphill. Lol Tha being said, the hotel itself was an easy 4 out of 5. I would stay here again. The views from the balcony was just mad. The beds were very comfortable and again, the staff were very wonderful.

This property is extremely clean and looks amazing considering what you’re paying. Room sizes are ample and not small which is a common concern when visiting and booking in Japan. I did find it strange that the staff stated they were booked out for the weekend and couldn’t extend our stay but I was able to book an extra night via Expedia for very reasonable rates.
