This a very nice area. Close to the subway. The pajamas provided are very comfortble. Bed is made everyday and basic necessities such as toothbrush, hair clips, room slippers are replenished everyday. They also provide 2 bottles of water each day. I had a comfortable stay here. Would come back to stay here again.

A gem of a hotel in Tokyo

We often stay at the Hotel Monterey La Soeur when in Tokyo. It is conveniently located (within walking distance of Tokyo station). The staff are all very nice and kind and do their best to help you.

very authentic and quaint hotel however the rooms could have been a bit more spacious - too cramped and tight. Breakfast was my best part of the day - fit for a king! quite conveniently located but have to walk to everything or get a uber taxi. thankfully the 7-11 is right beside the hotel.

First of all the positives. The staff were friendly and the hotel clean. Good position for metro and convenience stores . Room was a decent size. Negatives.....the room floors were wooden which was extremely painful to walk on after a long day. Our room only had one double plug socket and we could find. This meant as we had to use an adaptor we could only charge one device at a time. On a personal note I wasn't keen on the French music playing all the time.

Aesthetic choices override functionality

Pros: The hotel features beautifully designed rooms in an elegant European style. There's an on-site cafeteria that serves breakfast, adding convenience for guests. Cons: Breakfasts are overpriced at ¥35,000 per person. The rooms are very stuffy - windows are sealed and cannot be opened, so the only source of fresh air is the air conditioner, which blows uncomfortably cold air even when the outside temperature is mild (around 18°C). The room layout is extremely impractical. In a room with 2 beds, there is literally no space to open or store a suitcase. The furniture is fixed to the walls and cannot be moved to create more room. While the design prioritizes appearance, it lacks basic functionality. For example, the fridge is enclosed in a stand that's twice its size and includes a fake drawer, further wasting space.

Magical

This hotel is beautiful - so clean, and the staff are so kind and helpful. The hotel restaurant is gorgeous and the breakfast was the best I've ever had at a hotel. Loved everything about this place.
