Book Highgate Independent Williamsburg accommodation from NZ$235

In line one hour to check in. Billing errors took four trips to the counter to correct. I was given a $200 inconvenience voucher for use on the property just before I checked out, so it was of little use. Service here is a mess right now. After years of loyalty to the Palace, I doubt I'll stay there again. Not the same place any more

There room was warm initially but someone came and quickly remedied the situation. The room was comfortable, clean, a great stay.

I spent 3 nights at the hotel on a business trip and was disappointed with the hotel. Very bare minimum amenities in the room. I had a ironing board but no iron. There was a water kettle but no tea/coffee. The bathroom was quite small, tub was also tiny, water pressure low, clogged bathtub and a very short curtain to keep the water in the tub. Disappointing.

Stayed in accessible king bed suite (unexpected upgrade from standard king room). Great space if needed for any with mobility issues (e.g., walker, wheelchair). Sitting room, bedroom, and large, open bathroom. Comfortable bed. All clean and well maintained. Complimentary umbrella & bathrobes for use during stay.

The location of the hotel is excellent, with it being just a block from Times Square. The staff were polite and efficient, and the Internet worked well. I booked three rooms for 2 nights and asked to check in to one a couple hours early...which I was able to do, but for a $25 fee. The room overall was clean, with a few exceptions like doors. It is an old building, and the radiator heat was quite loud at times. The windows leaked cold air, so the room was usually a little cold. In my room the water was hot - in one of the others the shower only got lukewarm. The sink had a slow drain. If you like vintage buildings in a great location, I would recommend it.

I think hotels need to upgrade there photos online because majority New York hotels are outdated when you physically go to them… with outrageous room rates. I heard the person in the next room take a shower every night because the appliances was old and rusty.
