This is the second year in a row we have stayed at this hotel prior to a flight from Heathrow. There is a shuttle bus to the airport every half an hour which makes it easy.

Water pressure was terrible, took forever to take a shower. Carpet in the corridor was broken, stained and the floor felt uneven underneath. Room smelled musty (not fresh) The lobby was really pretty. There's a restaurant in the Marriot next door that was really good.

This property is fine for an overnight stay. However anything longer you might want to look for somewhere else. Good points: staff is helpful and friendly. very easy access to the airport either through local buses or the Hoppa Bus. Expedia VIP booking for upgrades was hit and miss. Was upgraded once, but the upgraded room was essentially the same, no real visible difference from a regular room. Hotel is also used when airlines cancel or delay flights and staff seemed efficient in dealing with these cases. They kept my luggage in between bookings, but I believe this was because I already had prepaid the subsequent bookings. You will need to check with the hotel if they will keep your luggage even if you don't have a subsequent booking. I had three separate bookings over a two week period. Booking 1. Phone jack broken, in room safe not working (took four requests for it to be fixed), pillows too flat, bed sagging the middle making it uncomfortable, key card would need to be reset almost every day due to deactivation (staff says it happens if the card is near your phone) Booking 2. pillows too flat, bed sagging the middle making it uncomfortable, key card would need to be reset almost every day Booking 3. pillows too flat, bed sagging the middle making it uncomfortable, key card would need to be reset almost every day It was an average stay and I might book again if the price is right, but I would first consider another location.

Worst experience! Wouldn’t recommend it. The lady at the main desk gave us a smoking room. It was the last room on the corridor and we checked in at the mid night very tired. We had to go back to front desk which was a very long walk back and forth in the middle of the night.
