The hotel has a great location, just a few minutes from Southern Cross Station, which is very convenient. The staff was friendly, and the rooms were clean. However, the organization was a mess. I had reserved a three-bed room, but when I checked in, they gave me a single-bed room without informing me. I only realized the mistake when I entered the room. After returning to the front desk, they corrected it and gave me the room I originally booked. The real issue happened the next day. The hotel gave my room to someone else, and these guests were trying to open my door. Thankfully, I had used the manual lock. When I spoke to them, they said the front desk had assigned them this room. When I brought this up with hotel staff, they admitted they had a software issue and didn't know which rooms were occupied, so they were just assigning rooms randomly—hoping they were free. This is completely unacceptable. I stayed for two nights, and while the location and cleanliness were good, the poor management and lack of proper room assignments made the experience stressful. Would only recommend staying here if they fix their booking system.

Stayed for the formula 1, easy access to the Southern Cross Trams. Staff went above & beyond, and were extremely professional in trying circumstances. Felt very much at home, and was the perfect base for our week in Melbourne. Rooms were quiet, clean, and well maintained.

Major check in issue, spent over an hour in line, couldnt find our reservation on the list to then get to our room and our key wouldnt work. Got a new key later that evening that worked. The bed also wasnt all that comfortable which was disappointing Pretty disappointed all round this time

Not four star.

Very clean but only had shampoo, conditioner and body wash. They had no shower caps or toiletries as other four stars hotels have so not impressed. Staff were pleasant.

Overall our stay was pleasant, however a few things overshadowed our experience. We had to line up for almost an hour to check in due to the high number of people arriving at the same time (Que was out the door & down the footpath when we arrived). There was a fire alarm but no communication, we just happened to come into the hallway to leave & all fire doors were closed, elevators were locked, we had to come down 11 flights of stairs & were greeted by 3 fire trucks - if there was an actual fire I don’t know if we would have known about it (very concerning). We went to the buffet breakfast where we waited almost 15 mins for any hot food to be brought out as the trays were empty - ended up leaving to find food elsewhere as there was a large number of people waiting for food. The room itself was nice. I think the hotel may have been unprepared for such a high volume of guests.
