Francis Hotel Bath is currently undergoing some refurbishment so unfortunately there was no lift to the third floor. The hotel warned us of the on-going work before our arrival which was very much appreciated. The staff made us feel very welcome and I very much appreciated the facilities provided in the bedroom. It was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

It was my wife's 60th and not only did they give us a front bedroom as requested, but they upgraded us with a complimentary bottle of fizz. the reception was lovely and helpful. Thanks to all.

Fabulous hotel

Part of the hotel was under renovation, so we had to do a detour out of the building to our room, however the staff walked us to the room and it was lovely. Spacious, a radio was playing gently on arrival providing a great ambiance. Mini bar with soft drinks was complimentary. Location was perfect also.

Our stay was perfect and we look forward to staying there again. They were in the process of renovating some parts of the hotel when we stayed there and we were able to stay in one of the new rooms. It was fabulous. The staff was very helpful and kind. The hotel is walking distance of the Roman baths and the Jane Austen center and a lot of great restaurants and shops.

Superb staff saved the day for this property The internal condition of the hotel and our room were lovely - but the external renovations are making the reception to room experience pretty horrible. Once these external works are completed all should be well I rate highly the door guys, bar staff and restaurant team (fantastic food) The reception staff fall short and are not helping at all with the issues arising from the renovation.

The Francis Hotel in Bath is beautiful and everyone made us feel welcomed. A highlight of my holiday, everything was perfect, and the staff were lovely. I would highly recommend the Francis Hotel in Bath!

Because the hotel was being renovated during my stay, it was very noisy in the morning. And there was no dinner service, which was inconvenient. We had to change our reservation from staying 3 nights to 2 nights. And the staff told us there would have no refund for this change.

This place is still being refurbished so there was scaffolding around and we had to walk through part of the building works to get to our room. However, our room was beautiful! Large and modern with a Chromecast TV. The breakfast was great and the staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The location was also perfect for walking anywhere in the centre of Bath. I would definitely come back here in future.

Excellent spacious room, King bed, good towels. Small bathroom but nice. Provided breakfast room service each morning. Coffee bar included capsules, a French press, and fresh milk. Nice apple juice. Friendly, helpful staff. Even under construction high marks.
