No hot water!!

No hot water to have a shower. Shower water pressure was very poor. Only one bathrobe. As a IHG member I expect a let better from their hotels.

Amazing hotel! Lovely staff

Stayed here for a weekend with the family, I have to say it was one of the BEST hotels I’ve stayed in. Very modern. The room was very clean and fresh . Around the hotel was lovely and clean and well kept . The receptionist Jordan went above and beyond for us and the children, was polite and helpful and told us fun things we could do with the children. The breakfast in the mornings was DELICIOUS! With such a wide variety you can’t go wrong ! The bar and staff was very friendly. Made me a delicious passion fruit mojito and then made me a child friendly one for my son so he wasn’t left out . Thank you for making my stay with my family so lovely ! X

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, in terms of cleanliness, helpful and friendly staff. The food was excellent. Breakfast in particular was freshly cooked, and there was an abundance of choice.

Sleepless in Birmingham

We spent a night at Crowne Plaza Birmingham city center. Check in and check out was a pleasant experience. The room, bathroom and general hotel was clean. My problem started when I realised that the 'soundproof' room wasn't 'soundproof'. I could hear the guests next door shouting and screaming for hours. I booked this hotel mainly because of the 'soundproof' room, but was thoroughly disappointed. My next issue was I could hear everything happening outside, including vehicles passing, people conversing, glass bottles being emptied into a bin,surely that shouldn't be happening. Apparently, the room I was in, was facing the quiet side. I don't think so, I left more tired than when I arrived due to sleep deprivation. The parking wasn't the best for £21 per day, but I was greatful there was parking. If you have lots of bags, maybe drop them off at the entrance of the hotel and then park, I didn’t see a lift, so I used the stairs. The other car par charged me £4 for 1 hour, or you could park on the side of the road (if there's space) for a few hours until you figure out the parking situation. Lastly, the quilt was so hot for this time of the year, it would have been great if a light sheet was in the cupboard as another option. Overall, because of the sleepless night and how noisy it was I wouldn't stay there again. However, others may have had a better experience.

The hotel and staff were brilliant for our trip to the Utilia arena. The check in was speedy and very knowledgeable. The room was fantastic and we had such an amazing bargain for our stay. If we come back to the Utilita again we would certainly be looking at staying the this hotel again. Thank s to everyone involved.

Visit Birmingham quite often and this has quickly become our go to, amazing welcome, beautiful rooms, and good bar when needed, the lounge is also great. So easy to wander down gas street or into town, can't fault it. Shout out to Emanuelle in the club lounge he is super attentive
