We requested an early check-in prior to our stay however received no reply from the hotel. However, upon arrival the staff were willing to accommodate our request. When we went to the room the room was open with dirty bedding still in the doorway, however the room itself had been cleaned and made up and the dirty bedding quickly removed. Room and en-suite was very spacious, although shower cubicle was on the small side. A large, smart tv in room however no remote and spare remote provided was dirty. Phone signal (EE) was poor and hotel WiFi inadequate. Lots of free parking available. Overall the hotel was great value for money and more than adequate for our one night stay. Staff were friendly and helpful and room spacious and comfortable. We didn’t use any of the hotel’s other facilities so can’t comment.

Don't waste your time here, worst hotel in years!

Absolutely awful and would not recommend to an enemy, let alone a friend. Accessible room had a broken toilet which was half hanging on. So we got moved to room number two, soon as you walked in it smelt like raw sewage. Room number three which was not accessible and a grumpy receptionist later was so cold it was mental. We had to put the radiator on oursleves and leave the room to go elsewhere to warm up. It was still cold and even with extra duvets, my husband who is never cold had to sleep in his clothes. We had a bed that was made out of breeze blocks and pillows like bricks. I did not sleep at all and was already uncomfortable complaining about the room. The extractor fan in the bathroom was so noisy that every time I went to the toilet in the night, I woke my already tired and cold husband up. This was not good as we were at a business conference and had to leave that early due to the impact of the bad night at the hotel. It must have been a known thing about the pillows as another customer made comment that we must have known about the pillows which is why we had one, that is used to support legs. This was said with a laugh and an eyeroll. The guy who brought us the extra duvet and pillows was lovely but I think putting a duvet onto a guest who is already in the bed is taking it a bit far. I do however assume he had some sort of disability and he was very sweet and not a threat but maybe a word that it is not appropriate. So bad!

I wasn’t happy at all with my stay no strong Wi-Fi to load my laptop to do my work, long hairs in ther bath tup absolutely freezing in the room 464 and the bed was to singles mattress pushed together which had now gave me a bad back, no shower gela or shampoo in the room, so I went down to reception. And complained but wasn’t to bothered told me to book else where

A little disappointed

I purchased half-boarding and the food - breakfast or dinner wasn't impressive. The second day didn't even have harsh browns... There were a lot of dogs barking especially during nights and I couldn't sleep at all. There is a pool and I did some swimming, so at least that part of the expectation was met!

Poor service at reception, but hotel was alright

I had booked 2 rooms, a standard twin for a friend and an executive twin for me and another friend. I called the hotel twice to ensure that my friend having the standard room would have the correct room. I was assured it was recorded against the booking. When I arrived, my friend had already booked in and had been given the executive room. The reception manager was rude, he didn’t believe I had called despite me showing him my call history. He said they were fully booked and he couldn’t move me to an executive room and I should sort it out with my friend (she was already unpacked etc) which I wasn’t prepared to do. Eventually he offered me free breakfast, I had already paid for breakfast!! He finally offered us free evening meal on the second night, Howe this was worth £33 and the extra cost of the executive room was almost £100! They also tried to charge me for the room that I’d already paid for. The hotel itself was nice, the room large, clean and comfortable. The food wasn’t the best. It was just let down by poor service when booking in

Not the best experience of my stay here. Firstly girl on the desk was rude and not informative. The room felt dirty and not cleaned properly. The rooms had an odd smell. The whole place felt run down. Used the swimming pool and water was murky and pool and changing rooms were disgusting. The food was like warm in the dining area. The night sleep was terrible. There was a constant what I can describe as a hairdryer doing off every minute. Which was hard to sleep. I won’t be staying here again.

The only bad thing i can say, is about the room doors, they slam shut. So if your neighbour is in and out they really bang and keep you awake..Room was lovely had everything needed. Dog friendly, nice area out front to walk tve dog. Big carpark.

Room was large but furnished with old bed and dresser, etc. Pillow did not have a pillow case. Woken at 06:30 by bottles being collect fro 4 large bins under my bedroom window. Then at 06:45 the kitchen staff started a loud discussion at the kitchen door. Bathroom was freezing and jas no plug in the sink. Room was not cheap at £119 with no Breakfast.
