Holiday inn Cambridge

We have stayed here before as close to the hospital I needed. Stayed for one night on a Sunday Staff friendly. Room was a double and bed comfortably Tea and coffee provided Iron and iron board and hair dryer Bathroom had dove products in. Carpet could do being replaced as I would recommend wearing slippers. There was no plug sockets next to the bed. Breakfast was from 06.30 - 09.30 Lots of choices from fry up, cereal, cup cakes. Fruit, croissants and pancakes. Food served at night time.

The traffic diversion was very inconvenient. We called twice for assistance, but were out on hold and no one answered. The rooms are tiny and cramped. Breakfast was decent, with some gluten free options, although note the vegan sausages are NOT, despite what the staff say!

BED BUGS ALERT! I was in roOm 133 and was attacked by bed bugs. 4 days later I am still itchty on my full body. We complained at the reception and my wife emailed the Manager as per reception's advice. No answer at this stage (4 days later!) AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!

Poor hotel

My room was like a sauna. Air conditioning was defective. Also, had to pay extra for parking which was not advertised when booking the hotel. The breakfast serving area was too small, and therefore, far too busy at breakfast time. I informed reception of the air conditioning issue and was told this was a known issue for that side of the hotel.
