Birthday Trip to Eastbourne

The hotel is in a good position by the pier and the beach. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The room was basic but perfectly adequate. The only thing that really let it down was the carpet in the room that was gritty and definitely hadn’t been hoovered. The hotel is a bit dated now but for the price we paid I was very happy with our stay.

Its a very old building so dont expect modern. The room for me was ok for what we was staying there for but ideally things like the shower could be bigger. Im average built and didnt have a great deal of room in there. Rooms where quite cold and you only get 1 pillow each and very soft. Overall tho not a bad stay

Great for rhe price, staff very friendly, great location. I ve read bad comments about the cleanliness of the hotel, it s aging but it is clean. I will stay there again.

Does this hotel need upgrades? Yep. Does it look like it has seen better days in terms of decor? Yep. However, for solo business trip for a night or two you cannot fault it. Location is ideal, area is quiet and the breakfast was excellent so, despite the carpets, paintwork and furnishings not being ultra modern, the hotel was perfect for what I needed.

nice view, noisy room as the walls appear to be thin. I could hear the people above me galavanting about. Still, the staff were courteous and efficient. Bed rather short for a 6 foot person.

Vitamin sea!

As usual the room was very nice but a couple of minor issues/suggestions. Instructions for the coffee machine would be good. Some hooks in the bathroom for wet towels would be brilliant

It does have parking at the rear of the property that was £6 overnight until 3pm the next day. We went to the Congress Theatre which was a short 13 minute walk. Great location, just opposite the pier.
