We waited over an hour for our meal at Marco Pierre White, we only had 1 main and a few side dishes; there was only 1 more couple in the restaurant with us so not busy at all. The heating system in our room did not work, so our room was cold. Breakfast options were minimal. Only option was a buffet at £16 pp, which would not be suitable as I have an eating disorder and will only eat certain foods, so £16 was over priced for what I would eat. Other than that, was an average stay.
The leonardo is a beautiful hotel, in my opinion the only thing that lets the hotel down is the cleanliness of the swimming pool area, no footwear is aloud which is understandable but the floors could be cleaned on a regular basis.
Stayed here a few times, never had a bad experience.
Bar a little expensive and a limited selection of beers, but that's being picky.
Rooms are spacious and well appointed.
Stay was good but I was not happy about my room. First of all the room telephone was not working so we could not book in for the spa. We wanted towels dropped to our room so we had to go downstairs and let them know but still no towels were sent Then we complain that The telephone should’ve been working in the room as we have to keep coming downstairs to Contact if there is an emergency it will be difficult to contact yourself because on the mobile the line is so busy put the staff and everyone else was polite and nice i Explained all this to the receptionist
I chose this hotel as i was attending a show at the CBS Arena and had a van to transport the stock etc. The car park has barriers which was a good reason to help deter criminals trying to steal / break into my vehicle. How wrong i was as the barriers were not closed as of 10pm that night !! Aside of this and several ££££'s of damage.
The room was fine but i was directly outside of the kitchen extractors so noisy and i could not open the windows for the fumes of food being cooked. I had to eat both nights in the Triumph bar as the restaurant was fully booked, the queues just to be served took 15 minutes, really understaffed with the other bar shut when the hotel is obviously busy. The food itself was not great and twice was sent ot a wrong table which meant arriving at mine was luke warm. The reception staff were very helpful with regards to the van break in but those in the bar area were too busy & stressed to be polite. In a nutshell....avoid this hotel
The property is not bad, nice rooms large and clean. Rooms are well kept and looked after. For me it was a bit too far, 2 1/2 hrs from London. Had to take a uber huge cost. The scenery not the nicest. Property overall is good. Front desk needs some work when greeting clients. First impression counts don’t be rude. Clients are paying to stay.
A really weird vibe here. In the middle of nowhere (which we didn’t mind as just a stop over for a longer journey). Just felt soulless. Staff in small bar vacant and made it clear they were not wanting to serve food (I’m going home soon) - ridiculous queues for breakfast with no system in place. Room itself was fine. I wouldn’t stay here again.
