Nice and easy check in, we reserved a space in the car park which was 100 metres away, even after check out we could leave it there until 1:00pm which enabled us to take a short walk to the shopping centre. The room was comfortable and well equipped with ironing board, on return from an event we used the restaurant not arriving until 10:00pm and although it shuts at 10:00pm they were happy to seat us, it’s an Indian restaurant and the food and service was excellent. We didn’t pre book breakfast and as we were only there for 1 night didn’t use the steam room or Sauna but we could see some guests using it. Overall a hotel perfect for what we wanted.

I had carefully put my blood pressure medication with the hotels pen I was using and a small torch in a glass beside the bed. When we got back to the hotel that night on my medication torch + hotel pen had been taken. All the night porter could say was no one would do that. He had no idea where things could be. My pills and torch were found next day in the office. This is not good enough. The first night we got to London we went for a drink in the restaurant as described / suggested on website? There was a couple eating a meal in the restaurant and us. The couple eating left and another couple came in and took drinks away with them. The waiter started to clean the floor. We were half way through our drinks and told that they were closing and we would have to go. 10.30pmish did not seem that late to us. We later found out restaurant is not part of the hotel. Relaxing drink at the end of the day it was not. They seemed very stingy with sachets of coffee. We assume cleaner also forgot to top up coffee and leave cups and as were only there for a 2 night stay we did not try to sort it out.

Nice hotel, but smelly room and no AC

The first room I was offered smelt of sewage drain pipes on the ground floor, and then I was moved to a room on the top floor with a broken AC. A fan noisier than the city airport was offered instead to just blow hot air around, as windows were unable to be opened! No offer of compensation to date, so I'm not overly impressed about this, tbh.

When we arrived at our room the key card didn’t work. When we went back to reception to get it fixed, the manager came and was also unable to unlock the room with a mechanical key. We were waiting 20 minutes while they tried to ram the door open. They told us they had no other room we could go in. When we said we would be uncomfortable staying in a room that could lock us in like that, the manager spoke to us in an angry and argumentative manner. There was no apology or compensation from the manager for the issue or delay. Instead they spoke to us disrespectfully. They then found a room for us to go in, despite initially saying they were fully booked. The heating in the room was blasting hot. We couldn’t turn it off and the air con didn’t seem to counteract it. I asked reception to turn the heating off while we were out, we returned home to a room that was boiling hot. She had not turned the heating off like she said she would. Overall the hotel was very clean and in a quiet area. However, the room was more tired than I would hope considering the price. The biggest disappointment was the rude manager.

The room we were given after a late night check in was of poor condition. We struggled to lock the door, the aircon did not work (it was a very warm night) the hotel had placed a fan in the room which was right next to the bed and even on the lowest setting was too loud. The bathroom vanity light didn’t switch off - and the bathroom door was frosted glass, so you were in the light all the time. There wasn’t a window in the room to open. The carpet had dirty marks on it and the wardrobe draw was falling to bits. There was no phone in the room to call reception or spare hangers in the wardrobe to hang clothes. I got dressed and went back to reception just before midnight - who handed over keys to another room of far better quality. We then had to repack and move. The next morning when I complained- reception advised they were aware of the issues! When I said why would you let that room, the reply was “I know”…. The room was number 202. It’s not of the quality in the images. It really did ruin our nights sleep - and we only stayed for that. It’s such a beautiful hotel too.

A very quiet hotel from outside noise and lovely staff , stored our bags prior to check in , issues were bathroom light in room doesn't turn off and opaque door so very poor sleep, stuffy hot rooms with no opening windows (age of building) and air con not very good but provided a fan which was large and very noisy, broken plug for table lamp and fridge not cold. The website is out of date stating food options that are not available.....pan Asian restaurant which if we had know we wouldn't have chosen hotel as we don't eat that cuisine but they offered alternatives and the hotel is connected to a very successful Asian restaurant business so probably very good if you like curry. Breakfast ok, simple choices and easily able to walk to Canary Wharf.

The building is beautiful. The room, gorgeous. Clean, tidy. Staff are helpful. The AC was not working in the Junior Suite and the room was unbearable hot. We asked for fans and were told they just needed to reset the AC. And we went out. Came back to 2 fans in the room. The temperature increased overnight exponentially and had the worst night sleep. So uncomfortable and such a shame. This is the only issue but it ended up being the main focus of our stay. We had a great day in London, celebrating our anniversary, and the room just let us down. Exhausted, no sleep, and now off for another day in London before returning home.

If you're expecting this hotel to be in Canary wharf, be aware that it isn't! It's a 15 min walk away, on the other side of the aspen way. Nice hotel though. Be careful in the shower, there's no grip on the shower floor and my wife slipped over in there, hurting her back. Reported to reception when checking out but they didn't seem too bothered.

A beautiful property in Canary Wharf. Our room was spacious and very clean and all staff were friendly. While it’s not located in the city centre, the transport links are only a short walk away and there are lots of local bars and restaurants.

Nice hotel although lacking in a main bar area, rooms are very modern maybe too many gadgets couldn’t turn light out over bed. But decent hotel and restaurant on ground floor was amazing dinner

The staff were all extremely welcoming. We didn’t have time on this trip to enjoy the spa or food offerings. But looking forward to it on our next visit. The room was spotless and comfortable, and we enjoyed our stay.
