Sent two emails asking for something special for my wife in the room to celebrate our anniversary but got no response. We had two single beds pushed together in the room which was the worst way to spend our anniversary. The bottle of still water in the room was opened before our arrival. Overall I would not stay here again.

Great hotel, nice modern and spacious. The reason for no 5* was the breakfast, only hot food was beans and eggs. For the price I would have expected more options, maybe some cold meats or traditional breakfast items. Barring that, great stay

We didn't have breakfast so can't comment. However, were asked to pay for our stay when we arrived but had already paid so had to provide evidence. The room was very small and not up to spec cleaning wise. I spoke to reception about the size of the room and was told this was what I had booked. I don't know if the hotel was full or not but wasn't given the opportunity to upgrade. There were used coffee pods in the coffee machine, the kettle was dirty, the towel rail was broken and the room could have done with a freshen up paint wise. I had read reviews prior to booking and they were all very good - perhaps we were just unlucky.
