Great location, less than half a mile from our destination. Pleasant area. Close to underground. Lovely room which was quite spacious. Booked into restaurant for a meal but turned out that it was closed? Food in bar took a long time to arrive but was good.
Location good booked family room the gamekeeper . Went with two kids . Got there one double bed had to get another put in cos was t in place . Check in time two had to wait another hour to be ho eat what u pay here is over priced for what u get not even milk in room for tea coffee shower cold . All in all a dump
All a bit of a shame..let's book the chiropractor!
Room was lovely to look at and clearly has recently been renovated, however it just felt a little unfinished tbh.
The lovely big metal bath located within the bedroom itself was appealing, however it was not as yet connected so a little disappointing to have teased us.
The pillows are weird and appear to be more.like sofa cushions, far to material like which doesnt make them feel fresh. Also, there was a few stains on the cushion which I tried to ignore otherwise it would have played on my mind.
We are a couple with a young girl and having been shown to the room there was only one double bed and no sign of the additional single bed, and infact the bloke showing us the room was quickly trying to get of the room before I raised this subject, surely he wouldn't have thought I wouldn't mention it and out our daughter in the unused bath in the corner as a makeshift bed?!?
Anyway, after some unnecessary hinting, the bloke fetched us a spare single bed.
Our double bed was probably the hardest mattress I have slept on and in all honesty myself and wife slept so badly that we had to leave London really early the next day as we were simply so tired through lack of sleep..and which was a shame as we had looked forward.to some sightseeing.
I paid about £220 for the room which in my eyes is a.lit.of money. As I say the room looks fantastic, but a bit of shame to not have had a better mattress, cleaner pillows and a quick go over the floor with the hoover would have been appreciated.
The hotel was lovely, very clean rooms and attentive staff. The food and drink was great aswell. I would definitely recommend and stay again when I'm next in the area

unfortunately not likely to return
Overall, unfortunately not happy with our stay. There were cleanliness issues; windows needed cleaning (inside), dusty surfaces, mould/black damp areas around window - probably due to there being a freestanding bath in the room (which was a lovely touch). However, there was a dehumidifier positioned next to window. Poor sleep due to traffic noise. No lift, so had to carry heavy suitcase up and down 2 flights of stairs. On the way downstairs on day of checkout, someone had dropped chips - could have caused someone to slip and have a nasty injury. Note pushed through door to say no breakfast available due to COVID situation. No one available to speak to on check-out, even struggled to get out of the building - all locked up (quite scarey). On trying to contact manager (as suggested on note), only able to leave voicemessage. Received text message back - still await contact. Really very poor service. Great shame - has potential to be a lovely place.
Room was clean with good facilities considering the age and condition of the building. Major issue was that the kitchen was closed during our stay due to mice and cockroach infestation. Danny the manager made no effort to contact us to offer an apology or explaination, even a note under the door would have been something. As it was we found out by reading the notice taped to the window and had to go looking for him in the basement. He offered to reimburse the cost of breakfast elsewhere. I appreciate the building will have inherent issues due to its age, but this was not a cheap stay by any means, and customer service costs nothing
had he been more proactive in reassuring us and apologising, the trip would have been far less stressful. Disappointing overall.
Pub downstairs is a bit "faded glory" but that's what i liked about it. I expected the same of the room, but i was pleasantly surprised. there are only 5 rooms and they have been renovated in lovely fashion. very clean, spacious, quiet & comfortable. Great shower, comfy bedding. Love this neighborhood, and easy tube to every place in central london. highly recommend.

It was close to where I wanted to be while I was in London
The rooms are over a popular bar are on the top floor and mine was very quiet. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Room was spacious, well appointed and thought had been given to presentation. However, there was no aircon so the room was too warm, light bulbs were missing and some lights didn't work, shower drain was very slow so the tray risked overflowing.
This place is a very popular pub with rooms upstairs. The pub is charming though in need of some upgrading (torn seat cushions with the padding sticking out). It's hard to enjoy yourself when it's so hot you can't sleep on a hot summer's night. The fan in the room didn't do much to help. One of the windows in the bedroom had been painted shut so you couldn't get cross ventilation. The blacksmith room had peeling paint. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was nicely done. The room was supplied with bottled water and an assortment of treats. The best thing from our point of view was the neighborhood -- Little Venice. It's not a tourist area at all, populated mostly by young professionals with an array of restaurants and shops.
