Firstly the room they put us in first was not the room we payed for it did not even have a bathroom and we had 2 small children age 1 and 3. We then got the family room we paid for however ran the bath later that day and it was black the water we asked for a cot in the room for the baby when we checked in around 12 and we were still waiting at 9pm. For the man to come with the cot and tried to give us a broken cot

Set in a beautiful building, this hotel is centrally located and with very easy access to all areas of Manchester, either on foot or by public transport. The check in was quick and the room was a good size, clean and with good amenities. Recommended.

Unfortunately, this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The manager was exceptionally rude and stated that if I wanted to change rooms, I would first have to check out and then accept whatever alternative they chose to offer. The room itself was in an unacceptable condition. The window did not close properly, making the room both cold and very noisy. The sink was cracked down the middle, and the wallpaper was peeling extensively throughout the room. Despite raising a formal complaint, head office has failed to respond for over two months, which demonstrates a complete lack of customer care. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid staying here under any circumstances.

Bar not open because it was ‘quiet’ it’s a hotel and part of the advertised services, rather than two or three on reception one could have been in the hotel bar. I wouldn’t stop again unfortunately- closings services that those staying want to use is poor
