The hotel is very good, conveniently located close to the station & shopping. Our room is lovely with a great bathroom and is extremely clean and comfortable. Staff on reception and the bar were excellent.

My shower was leaking and it flooded the whole bathroom. I had to clean up with all the towels i had and the room service wasnt working at night as i needed something and it was so late at night. Overall very poor.

Nice place and good parking

Overnight stay with my Wife for a concert down the road at the Apollo. The reception staff were excellent, efficient and pleasant and the reception area welcoming. The room at first was clean and well presented but very cold until the heating finally kicked in. Later on the bar area was good but a long wait for drinks. Overall excellent and we would return if in the area.

Bad first impression

Really nice rooms and comfy bed but the initial service wasn’t great. I felt the receptionist was abrupt when checking in. I understand check in is at 3pm but I asked about 2.20 and was told no rooms are ready which I said OK and then he continued loudly “well our check in is at 3 ma’am and we don’t have rooms ready so you need to wait in the bar”. It was quite embarrassing because I wasn’t even questioning it. The disabled toilet that my mum used whilst we were waiting to check in was covered in urine and it smelt bad. We then rushed to the spa where I was told I had to pay to use facilities, which is strange for a Marriott but I was fine with, I just went back to the room. I think we got off to a bad first impression which spoilt the stay a little. Nothing was special about our experience there, although the rooms were lovely.

Front desk staff excellent as always . V helpful and attentive. Room was spotless has all the usual in the room . Location is ideal for Manchester . Right beside picadilly for travel . Direct train to locally from airport . Only a two minute walk to hotel . Have stayed here numerous times and will continue to do so

if you will be driving or taking trains, then perfect. Otherwise, 20 min walk to the center. Heating works just OK, but automatic function switches on too late, and off to late. Not very pleasant if you will spend long time in the room.

The room wasnt ready till 4pm, the room is spacious but dusty. There was no phone in the room to call room service or reception we went to the reception to complain they said they will install it but no one came. More than three times we kept telling them to install the phone becuase we cant keep going down to the reception everytime we need something. They gave us a phone number to call from our phones, we ordered 2 esspressos but was surprised that they charge 5 pound for delivery. Room servic that charge delivery charge what the hell so cheap
