It’s a beautiful property with an excellent, buzzing space downstairs which didn’t disrupt us late into the evening. The rooms are finished to a great standard. My only problem was that the television had a weak signal and there was no access to apps like iPlayer - which is not very important, but I think nowadays people expect catch-up tv if there’s a big lovely television at the end of their bed. There was a chromecast but it wouldn’t work, the internet didn’t actually work for me during our stay. All this aside, I’d definitely stay again.

All the staff are very friendly and warm welcoming. Location was also very good and the room was well equipped. I stayed for my birthday trip and I really enjoyed the stay. Only the downside was heating system. It doesn’t mean it was broken but the heater in my room was located near the entrance door only and my room was huge so it would be nice if there was an extra portable heater or something. Overall, again I really enjoyed their company and I will definitely go back.

booked for business, property impressive inside, was disappointed on check-in, music in reception too loud couldn't hear the what was being said. Room clean and all amenities. 3rd floor, checked in, dropped bags off and went out for dinner. On return entered room and whoever, or wherever, from below or adjacent had cooked fish and it absolutely ponged the room out. So, no idea who the fish lover was but it wasn't a nice smell from the room. Last gripe.. pillows hard a rocks, zero comfort, might be worth investing in some new softer ones. Yes id stay again but they need to sort a few bits out.

I did not enjoy the stay. The place is being renovated so it was noisy (communication about it was good. I didnt feel the room met adequate cleanliness standards with stains on the couch, carpet and severe water damage in the bathroom. The room also had an unpleasant pet/damp odour

A+ for design and location / D- for sound & food

Brilliant location and excellent deisgn of the hotel and room, and the kitchenette was very handy to have. However the sound proofing was poor, could hear every door slam, every siren outside and the next room's talking, phones and morning alarms going off like we were in there with them so very frustrating as we barely got any sleep. Bar space downstairs is great but coffee and breakfast was sadly deeply average despite a promising menu. A shame as the dog friendly nature was also appealing for future stays but I wouldn't recommend it as highly

From the moment we stood in the check-in queue, I sensed trouble. Despite greeting us, the receptionist allowed another guest to barge ahead for a second key. When that failed, the same person returned and cut us off again—right in the middle of our check-in! Next, we were allocated a ground-floor room. Take my advice: if you’re assigned one, insist they change it. The room directly opposite ours was in constant use all night. Doors opened and closed every few minutes. We suspected there was some kind of illicit activity—possibly involving narcotics or adult services—going on in that room, as the door scanner meant to secure the area was completely broken, allowing anyone to wander in and out freely. Given how annoyed I was at reception, I can only assume the receptionist deliberately placed us in the worst room imaginable. Although large, our own room was oddly furnished, with bizarre colour choices and a design that felt like a modern shell forced into an antiquated prison. Outside the window was a strange void facing another window, making the whole setup feel disturbingly claustrophobic. We even found a blob of sticky residue on the floor. The bed was actually two singles pushed together that drifted apart if you moved. The shower head refused to stay in place, and the ceiling was so low I couldn’t raise a hairdryer above my head. To say we got no sleep would be an understatement. By morning, we just wanted to go home. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

Premium Studio is vast and well appointed. Perfect for our dog. The bar is dog friendly. Maybe take ear plugs if you’re in a Premium Studio at the weekend as you’re close to the entrance, on a low floor, and music can be heard nearby until 6am. It didn’t really disturb us, but it can be heard. Pre-booking the parking underneath was a wise choice.
