Lovely hotel. Watch out for the night menu.

This hotel is very comfortable and clean, and the staff are helpful and knowledgeable, but the pledge they invite you to sign about not needing to have your room cleaned every day for so-called environmental protection is horse manure. It’s just a green-washing way to save themselves money. Also, don’t order from the night menu (if you can even find one in your room) unless you enjoy waiting for 40 minutes for lukewarm pizza that gives you the runs a few hours later! Final advice for the hotel: don’t have a waiter come to ask me if I’d like anything else with my meal, I ask for orange juice, and then she tells me to get it myself.

The service was outstanding at reception and we got our room early which was really appreciated. Lovely lounge areas for sitting and a nice bar area too. Cocktail of the week was delicious and breakfast was great. Bed was extremely comfortable. Beautiful surrounding area and fairly handy location if you like a bit of a walk.

The property is beautiful. Well maintained and attractive. Staff were pleasant and efficient. Room was superb with every extra you could hope for. Having stayed in most of the better hotels in Newcastle this is a cut above the rest. We have already booked again.
