Built in the 1850s, this hotel is an excellent choice for enthusiasts of the Victorian era. I stayed in a standard room, which, while lacking any particularly special features, was perfectly functional and well-maintained. The receptionist at check-in was exceptionally welcoming, friendly, and helpful.
The English breakfast buffet in the morning was superb, offering a delightful selection of traditional fare. However, the options for those preferring a continental breakfast were somewhat limited.
The leisure and spa facilities are truly impressive. In addition to a well-equipped gym, guests can enjoy a small yet inviting swimming pool, a dry sauna, and a steam room.
Overall, a well-deserved 4 out of 5 stars.
